Acvatix for central HVAC plants ■ The heart: the central HVAC plant Whether they operate with water, steam or heat transfer oils, central HVAC plants are used to generate and distribute heating and cooling energy to maintain comfortable temperatures in buildings, zones and rooms. They consist of primary plants for heating, cooling, ventilation and air conditioning as well as of distribution networks in buildings and district heating/cooling systems. Acvatix valves and actuators ensure energy-efficient operation for optimum comfort in all operating and load situations.

■ Your variety for energy generation and distribution Acvatix offers you all types of valves and actuators required for central HVAC plants. The range includes 2-port and 3-port valves with flanged or threaded connections and butterfly valves – combined with actuators that can be driven by all room and building automation controllers. The valves are suited for open and closed circuits with water, water with anti-freeze, drinking water, steam and other media.

This means that with Acvatix, you can implement all control, shutoff and changeover functions in HVAC and drinking water plants, whether simple, small, large or complex.

■ Everything for high energy efficiency Acvatix helps to ensure that buildings achieve the highest energy efficiency classes according to the European Norm EN 15232 (energy performance of buildings).

This means you can design your plant optimally in terms of hydraulics and control thanks to the finely graduated range – also for part load behavior such as summer/winter or day/night operation.

This reduces energy consumption and thus operating costs.

In addition, actuators with very short positioning times optimize the energy efficiency in fast controlled systems, in controlled systems with a high degree of difficulty, or in plants with very dynamic plate heat exchangers. The electrohydraulic actuators control very high dif ferential pressures and large volumetric flows using little energy. And the highprecision, fast-acting valves with magnetic actuator save energy particularly in chilled water plants.

■ Investments that pay off in the long term Due to their rugged design and manufacture according to international production and testing standards, Acvatix valves and actuators have a particularly long service life. Thanks to their backward compatibility, they can be simply replaced with new products even after decades of operation.

Acvatix for room and zone applications ■ On-site control: room and zone applications The room and zone controllers ensure comfort in individual living and working spaces in all operating situations. Quiet, fast-acting and accurate valves and actuators are necessary to minimize temperature fluctuations and to save energy.

MiniCombiValves and combi valves combine three functions: a control valve for controlling the volumetric flow, an adjusting mechanism for a presettable volumetric flow and a differential pressure controller for balancing pressure fluctuations in the hydraulic system. They also ensure load-independent, automatic hydraulic balancing of heating and ventilation plants. What’s more, they prevent rooms and zones from over- or undersupply, enhance comfort and allow particularly energy-efficient applications.

In addition, valve characteristics for linear or continuous supply of heating and cooling energy via air heating and air cooling coils contribute to energy efficiency.

The combi valves VPI45.. combine three functions: a control valve [3] for controlling the temperature (via the room controller), an adjusting mechanism [2] with a scale for a presettable volumetric flow, a differential pressure controller [4] for balancing pressure fluctuations in the hydraulic system or across the control valve. The mechanical series-connected differential pressure controller keeps the differential pressure (p1 – p2) constant across the valve and thus the set volumetric flow also. The desired maximum volumetric flow can be set with the adjusting mechanism [2]. The room controller (not shown) provides constant temperature control together with the SSD.. actuators. The VPI45..Q combi valves have pressure test points (P+, P-) for measuring and monitoring the differential pressure across the valve during commissioning.

Acvatix for refrigeration plants ■ Diverse choices for the supply and distribution of cooling energy or heat recovery Acvatix offers you hermetically sealed mixing, diverting and 2-port valves for refrigeration plants. These include refrigerant valves for expansion, hot-gas and suction throttle applications. All valves are compatible with standard controller signals 1) and operating voltages AC 24 V or DC 20...30 V. ■ Greater energy efficiency for refrigeration systems All Acvatix refrigerant valves save energy in the refrigeration plant, for example through their accurate superheat control also in part load situations.
