Independence, opportunity, leadership and responsibility Courtauld House is a happy, self-contained environment dedicated to boys and girls aged 11-13. Here, with close guidance and support, our Young Felstedians have the chance to discover young adulthood while still enjoying the very best of childhood. They grow in confidence and independence and develop the discipline they need to turn their aspirations into reality. They rise to the challenge of new expectations and responsibilities and become leaders to younger pupils as well as to their peers. Courtauld House sits ideally between the Senior and Preparatory Schools, functioning as a middle school and giving the youngest students of senior age a real opportunity to develop their identity and leadership. Many join Courtauld House from other schools and soon establish firm friendships. Some take up Felsted’s exciting and flexible boarding options to explore life outside the family. New goals and personal ambitions emerge as our Young Felstedians enjoy taking advantage of all the exceptional facilities Felsted has to offer and prepare for the transition to Felsted Senior School or elsewhere.
