A MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
MR. STEPHEN NOVOTNY
For 38 years, Fort Bend Christian Academy has faithfully laid a foundation of faith in Jesus Christ, a commitment to excellence in academics, and a dedication to building strong character in the heart of each student who walks through its doors. I am deeply thankful and excited to continue in this tradition and join in the work of advancing the Christian educational mission of FBCA for God’s glory and the benefit of the families and community we serve.
As you read through this 2024-2025 Impact Report, you will see the tangible results and blessings of the faithful stewardship of resources over this last year. Through your generous support and the excellent leadership of our Board of Trustees and René Cargile, our CFO and interim HOS during the 2024-2025 school year, we remain in strong financial standing. This faithfulness in both generosity and stewardship has resulted in the completion of several key projects around campus that you will see highlighted in the pages of this report, and is also enabling us to move forward with our Vision 2030 campus improvement plans.
As we look forward for exciting things in the future, I am reminded of the scripture found in Philippians 1:4-6, “In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” As FBCA continues to honor the Lord Jesus Christ through its core Christian educational mission, I am confident our students, families, staff and entire community, will be blessed.
Go, Eagles!

FINANCIAL OVERVIEW
A MESSAGE FROM BOARD OF TRUSTEES PRESIDENT
JIM BROWN
As we reflect on the past year, we are filled with gratitude for your continued support of Fort Bend Christian Academy. Your commitment to our mission has made this a truly remarkable year of progress and growth.
With the generosity and faithfulness of our entire school community, we have been able to complete many improvements and important enhancements to our campus facilities over the last year. Some of the largest of these have been the Upper School Vestibule, which is already in use, and the Female Locker Room, which has just been given occupancy as of October 6 ! Another significant item I want to highlight has been the successful completion of our Million Dollar Match. This monumental achievement brings us closer to our goals for Vision 2030 and strengthens our ability to provide an exceptional educational experience for our students. th
Finally, as we look ahead, we are excited about the significant momentum on our Middle School Expansion project. This fall, we have successfully gained the needed approvals with the City of Sugar Land to obtain the Conditional Use Permit necessary for this project. Now, we are working to obtain the subsequent building permit. This is the final piece that will allow us to start construction of this new addition to our campus. We ask that you pray for continued success with the permitting process, and we look forward to sharing more updates on this exciting project soon.
Thank you for being an essential part of the Fort Bend Christian Academy community. Your support directly impacts our ability to grow and thrive.
Sincerely,
Jim Brown President, FBCA Board of Trustees

skills that still guide our careers and families. We cherish the memories made and the lifelong friendships formed. My two children and two nieces are now walking the halls that Ashley, Craig, and I once roamed. It brings us great joy to see the Lord working through the nurturing community and dedicated teachers who partner with us to help build this same strong foundation for them. And just as our parents supported the mission of FBCA in its infancy, we also feel called to continue supporting this great school for years to come. It’s a blessing to know FBCA’s impact will shape our children and future generations we may never meet, as it has shaped us.

A e n faith, love, and spirit with God and with their friends! We love all of the friendships that we have made throughout all of these years and all of the opportunities to give back to the school. Volunteering at FBCA has been very rewarding. Whether it’s helping out in the library, decorating for the Gala, planning ticketed parties, or helping out in the classrooms, the love that everyone has for one another is very inspiring. Mya said she loves FBCA because everyone is so kind to her and to one another. MJ said he loves FBCA because of the nice teachers, and he has a lot of fun at school! We are truly grateful for FBCA and all that it has done to help our family grow both academically and spiritually with God’s word. We are excited to see our children continue to thrive with their friends, teachers, and all of the surrounding love from the staff at FBCA.

THE IMPACT OF GENEROSITY

AmessagefromWholesaleElectricExecutiveRickMcKellopandwife,Jennifer:
When it was time to decide where to send our kids to school, we knew we wanted them to grow up and learn in an environment that felt more like a family. We wanted a school that reinforced Godly values and excellence in education. Fort Bend Christian was the perfect fit, and we are now entering our 7 year at the school. All three of our children, Lilly, Ricky and Evie, have loved their experiences at the Lower School, and Lilly is very excited to be the first to delve into Middle School and all the exciting new things it has to offer. My children have grown in their relationship with Christ, met amazing friends, and have learned so much in their time at FBCA. As parents, we are blessed to be able to contribute to the school in meaningful ways, whether it be through our time or donations, so that the school continues to grow and thrive for all students, current and future. I know our children will graduate with a good head on their shoulders and be ready for whatever life brings their way because of the values and knowledge gainedatFBCA.Wearethankfultocallithome!

THE IMPACT OF GENEROSITY

God brought us to Fort Bend County and FBCA from Mississippi so clearly. That was before a job, a house or a church. This school has been the biggest blessing in our family life for 22 years. We started in the Fall of 2003 with our oldest, Trent, in 2nd grade and Trevor in kindergarten Over the many years, our four children have gotten to use their gifts in book clubs, spelling bees, musicals, sports, cheer, band, Duke Tips, etc. They have competed in state championships in football, cheer, and fine arts. Our daughter, Ashlyn, competed nationally in theater with ASL. They have all excelled academically and been accepted to one of their top college choices. They have been fully prepared for college, and each received honors and/or scholarships I’m not trying to boast about them but highlight what benefits we have received from our investment and involvement with FBCA. I cherish my experience, memories and relationships from my 22 years in our school family. I volunteered for EVERYTHING. I highly recommend it! When you participate in the Gala, Booster Club, PTF or MIP, you make friends in every grade. The thing that has changed my life and is the biggest blessing is leading and praying with Moms In Prayer for 20 years. I have made best friends, learned spiritually and had so many answered prayers. Please come and pray with us!

2024 was a year of transition for our family, as we intentionally moved all four of our children to FBCA starting in 1st (Levi), 3rd (Naomi), 6th (Eliana), and 7th (Caleb) grades. We were drawn to the school’s Christ-centered culture, strong sense of community and smaller class sizes that allow for more personalized attention. From the start, we’ve been so encouraged to watch our children flourish spiritually, academically, emotionally and creatively. Whether in the classroom, chapel, athletics, or musical theater, they found purpose, joy, and connection. The care and investment by teachers and staff helped each of them feel known, supported, and inspired. We’ve especially loved witnessing how their confidence has grown, their faith has deepened, and their love for learning continues to grow. We’re truly grateful to be part of the FBCA family and excited for all that’s ahead.

THE IMPACT OF

Coming home to FBCA after 25 years was a heartwarming experience. The friendships, faith, and foundation I gained at FBCA have continued to shape my life in meaningful ways, and being back on campus reminded me just how special those years were. As part of the Class of ’99, reconnecting with the Class of ’98 and so many familiar faces brought back laughter, memories, and a deep sense of gratitude. I’m especially thankful to the school for welcoming us so warmly; with a meal, FBCA swag, an introduction at the football game, and assisting in arranging our reunion dinner the following night. Thank you, FBCA, for the lasting impact you’ve had on my life and for making us feel right at home again.
Deanna M. Dearing-Sparkman - Alumni '99

We came to FBCA from Miami in 1997, looking for a place to raise our future family and serve God through our careers in education. We have been here ever since! Both of our daughters graduated from FBCA (Amanda '16 and Sammi ’21) and we are thankful for the instruction they received from the teachers and the support they received from staff. One of the greatest rewards our family has experienced while at FBCA is the balance they promote- excellence in Academics, the Arts, Athletics and Culture, all presented through a Christian worldview. Both of our daughters were prepared very well for college and life, in large part because of their time at FBCA. We are very grateful for the impact that FBCA has had on our family, and we pray for the same impact on all of the families here.

As we reflect on this amazing school year, we are filled with a deep sense of gratitude. Thanks to our families' continued dedication and generosity, we have achieved remarkable milestones together, setting the stage for even greater success in the future
Every success we've experienced this year is a testament to God's faithfulness and the unity of our school community, faculty, staff, and students, working together as one body in Christ to fulfill our shared mission. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord” (Colossians 3:23), and that spirit has clearly been present in all we’ve accomplished. Your support continues to make a real difference, and we are deeply grateful for your generosity. Together, we are creating a brighter future for our students and ensuring that our school remains a place where they can thrive and reach their full potential.

PARENT TEACHER FELLOWSHIP AND CAMPUS VOLUNTEERS
THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS!
FBCA is deeply grateful for the unwavering support provided by so many parents and grandparents covering volunteer opportunities across all facets of the school including division events, traditions events, athletic teams, and fine arts throughout the year. Thank you for being the heart of FBCA. Your tireless efforts have profoundly impacted and made an invaluable difference in the lives of our students and staff.

This year, FBCA was thrilled to introduce the organization of Dads on Duty, led by proud dad, Reme Ekoh. This remarkable group of dedicated fathers is serving the school community by opening car doors and greeting students and families at morning carline on Fridays. The group cherishes the opportunity to foster meaningful connections and be a positive influence on our campus.
The Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) at Fort Bend Christian Academy serves as the cornerstone of volunteer support, parent ministries, and teacher appreciation in the school community PTF plays a crucial role in fostering a sense of community, collaboration, and support among parents, teachers, and staff. Every stakeholder at FBCA is automatically a member of the group. PTF Board Members are selected annually in the Spring.
