Directors’ Note Beauty and the Beast is a play about transformation. Fort Bend Christian Academy is about transformation as well-- we believe in the power of Christ to renew hearts and minds. As 2 Corinthians 3:18 says, “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” We started with a blank stage in Stafford Civic Center, a cast of over 50 students, months of rehearsal and a vision of how we could bring this story to life. Together, we have experienced the wonder of transformation as we worked to bring this “tale as old as time” to the stage. That transformation doesn’t happen magically-- thank you for your support of Fort Bend Christian Academy. We are very grateful. We hope that you, too, are transformed by what you see, to dream a little harder, believe a little more and to recognize the beauty that is found within yourself and others. Thank you for joining us and for supporting live theatre! Aedin plans to major in Theatre next year (where is unknown) and would love it if you brought her some snacks to munch on backstage.

Meet the Cast Aiden McDonald (Gaston) What’s up fans and lovers of Beauty and the Beast? This is Aidan's first musical since 5th grade, but many people, who prefer to remain anonymous, call him the reincarnation of Casanova, so he thought it’d come easy to him. After high school, he's undecided on his career plans, but he does know he has a haircut the day after the last showing cause who knew hair products cost so much? Shoutout to his Nana for all the countless milliseconds, she went through lines with him until he gave up. So sit back, relax, and root for Gaston! Alex Matta (LeFou) is thrilled to be back on stage with his crazy-talented castmates, and blessed to be a part of FBCA’s amazing Performing Arts program! Alex has been performing onstage since grade 2. Since then, he has performed in eight productions between school and the award-winning local community theatre, Inspiration Stage. Favorite credits include Into the Woods (Jack), Annie (Rooster), and GTK The Sound of Music (Friedrich). She is currently a senior and plans to attend the college of her choice this upcoming fall (that is if she is ever able to make a decision on where to go). Angela is thankful for all of her friends in theatre who encouraged her to participate in the show instead of sitting alone in the audience. Ariana Garcia (Babette) is a senior at Fort Bend Christian Academy. She's been at FBCA since 4th grade and has been in theater since 5th grade. Currently, she is in the Theatre Production Class and has participated in several shows over the years and most recently wrote and directed her show, Group Therapy. Asher would like to first and foremost thank God for giving him this ability to act on stage.
