Im Zuge eines interdisziplinären Seminars beschäftigten sich Studierende mit parametrischem Design, der Gedankenwelt Buckminster Fullers sowie den konstruktiven und gestalterischen Eigenschaften von Pappe. Der finale Entwurf bestand aus 144 Einzelteilen, die in flachem Zustand komplett in einem Kombi transportierbar sind und allein durch Falt- und Stecktechniken eine stabile Konstruktion von 3 m Höhe und 6 m Durchmesser ergeben. Während des Reservoir Festival für elektronische Musik 2019 an der Linach Talsperre im Schwarzwald beherbergte die geodätische Kuppel eine audiovisuelle Installation der Hochschule Furtwangen.

In the course of an interdisciplinary seminar, students dealt with parametric design, Buckminster Fuller's world of ideas, and the constructive and creative properties of cardboard. The final design consisted of 144 individual parts which, when flat, can be transported in a station wagon and which, through folding and tucking techniques alone, result in a stable construction 3 m high and 6 m in diameter. During the 2019 Reservoir Festival for Electronic Music at the Linach Dam in the Black Forest, the geodesic dome housed an audiovisual installation by Furtwangen University.
