Wie werden wir in Zukunft innerstädtisch wohnen und arbeiten? Die halle+ kombiniert Wohnen, Arbeiten und Handel als Mittelpunkt des neuen Gerberviertels Trier und stellt eine Lösung für die Entwicklung eines urbanen Viertels ohne funktionalistische Ordnung dar. Der fünfgeschossige Holzhybridbau mit Dachterrasse entwickelte sich unter der Maxime der Flexibilität und Nutzungsoffenheit.

Die Dachlandschaft der Hallenstruktur greift gestalterisch als auch konstruktiv in Form eines Fach- bzw. Raumfachwerkes in den Hochpunkt und verbindet ihn zu einer Einheit. Basierend auf einem Konstruktionsraster von 10m x 6m im Erdgeschoss verringert sich der ab dem 2. Obergeschoss beginnende Holzbau auf ein Grundraster von 5m x 6m.

How will we live and work in the city centre in the future? The halle+ combines living, working and retail as the focal point of the new commercial district in Trier and represents a solution for the development of an urban quarter without functionalist order. The five-storey timber hybrid building with roof terrace was developed under the maxim of flexibility and open use.

In terms of design and construction, the roofscape of the hall structure interlocks at the highest point in the form of a truss or space frame, connecting it into a single unit. The ground floor is based on a construction grid of 10m x 6m and the timber construction that begins on the first floor is reduced to a basic grid of 5m x 6m.
