Awarded University teaching
Ensuring and continuously improving the quality of teaching is a central concern of Trier University of Applied Sciences. For this reason, the Presidential Board has awarded the annual teaching prize since 2017 to honour the work of dedicated teachers and to publicly present innovative teaching ideas. In 2021, the teaching prize was awarded to Prof. Andrea Wandel and Prof. Petra Riegler-Floors from the architecture department. Among all the subm issions, the committee – consisting of representatives of the presidium, quality management, university didactics and a student representative decided on their basic seminar “Constructing 2 – Timber Construction”.
In 2019, Prof. Dr. Linda Breitlauch (Intermedia Design) was awarded the teaching prize for her module “Interdisciplinary Development of Therapeutic Games” and the associated cooperation between Intermedia Design, Digital Media and Games and Therapy Sciences.

In addition, Prof. Anna Bulanda-Pantalacci (Communication Design) was awarded the Rhineland-Palatinate Order of Merit in 2018 for her special commitment to culture and education.
Prof. Anita Burgard (Communication Design) was also awarded the RhinelandPalatinate Order of Merit in 2010 by Minister President Malu Dreyer for her commitment to the university and the region.
