FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Projects: Chief Alan Jones attended individual Water & Sewer Department employee meetings regarding the transition to ClearWater Solutions Chief Black attended various webinars throughout the week with Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) and other medical associations regarding COVID-19; new dishwasher installed at Station 92; new bay door roller installed at Station 92; Chief Black and Captain Josh Collins assisted the Georgia Department of Public Health and Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services with COVID-19 vaccinations; Division Chief Keith Harris worked with job applicants in the department’s hiring process; Battalion Chief Jeff Gable continues to update the COVID-19 Incident Action Plan; weekly COVID-19 report completed and submitted to the Georgia Department of Public Health; daily cleaning and sanitizing of self-contained breathing apparatus masks and regulators continued.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY ¡ January 25 - Officers assisted with traffic for COVID-19 vaccinations at Fayette County Department of Fire & Emergency Services Station 4 (second dose); Chief Scott Gray held a Command Staff meeting with Patrol Division supervisors; replacement body cameras arrived, awaiting programming and distribution to officers; attended the School Resource Officer awards ceremony at the Fayette County Board of Education. ¡ January 26 - Completed 10 interviews for new officer candidates; ClearCompany training continued for departmental employees. ¡ January 27 - ClearCompany training continued for departmental employees; officers assisted with traffic for COVID-19 vaccinations at Fayette County Department of Fire & Emergency Services Station 4. ¡ January 28 - Held the departmental monthly staff meeting as well as the annual awards ceremony, which was attended by the City Manager, City Council members, and Civitan members; attended the Communications Committee meeting. ¡ January 29 - Performed the weekly review of the divisions’ productivity.

HUMAN RESOURCES DEPT. NELLA COOPER Personnel: With the help of the Public Information Office and the Information Technology Department, we began employee training for the performance management system and performance appraisals platform on ClearCompany. We continue to focus on COVID-19 and federal and state requirements as they relate to City employees and on remaining compliant with mandates. We continue to maintain a case spreadsheet of potential pandemic cases involving City employees. We are requesting proper leave forms to be completed by employees that are out of work due to COVID-19 related absences. We continue to review and update various administrative policies for accuracy. We met with the Water Operations Division of Public Services to discuss the outsourcing of services to ClearWater Solutions. Two water maintenance workers have transferred to Public Works effective February 1.

A third employee will transfer at a later date.

Turn Over Report: There were no new-hires and two terminations during the period of January 25-31, 2021. There are 13 vacant positions: six in Fire Services, two in Public Services, two in Police Department, two in Community & Economic Development (one position on hold), and one in Human Resources (on hold).

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Met with Tom Gray with the Fayette County Board of Education to discuss upcoming downtown development projects; attended the monthly Fayette County Development Authority meeting; attended the City Council work session to discuss current challenges with amphitheater scheduling; continued reviewing the Unified Development Ordinance draft.

Downtown Development Authority/Main Street: Continued purging old documents in storage; site visit with a prospective June rental at the amphitheater; continued on-site visits and coordination of the Holliday Dorsey Fife display cabinets to be moved to Burch Elementary School; updated the Holliday Dorsey Fife alarm codes and completed utility switchovers to tenant; worked with the Communications Team to update the Holliday Dorsey Fife House and Main Street websites; arranged the removal of large Main Street items from the Train Depot shed.

PUBLIC SERVICES DEPT. CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall and Police Department; assisted City Hall with removing boxes from the basement for storage; completed a trash run on the west side of town, Bradley Drive, Grady Avenue, Redwine Road, Jimmie Mayfield Boulevard; Helen Sams Parkway, and North Highway 85; checked park trash cans; cut curbing for repair at 250 Carriage Chase Drive; cut pothole repair in Oakbrook subdivision; cleaned curbing and sidewalk area on Beauregard Boulevard; cleaned up asphalt pile on Bradley Drive driveway; installed a street sign on Bradford Square; picked up two trailers from Trailers for Less, which had been repaired; cleaned up the corner of Lafayette Avenue and Tiger Trail; cleaned up the corner of the amphitheater; cleaned the Public Services building.

Sewer: Average daily flow treated was 1.78 million gallons per day; performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift station sites; maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.

Water: Average daily flow of 1.8 million gallons of system demand; repaired three water leaks; performed maintenance on 37 water meters; maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.
