CITY CLERK’S OFFICE ANNE BARKSDALE Meetings: Participated in the 4/8 tour of the new Fayetteville City Hall.

Projects: Revised and scheduled budget meetings for all departments; reviewed and updated account/user information for City story purchasing cards and City credit cards; worked with Shred-It to coordinate pickups for City Hall, Fire, and Building departments; continuing to purge records and the office for the move to the new City Hall building; prepared and published the 4/15 City Council meeting agenda.

FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Events - Shifts “A” and “B” completed elevator training.

Projects - Chief Alan Jones completed a construction update walk-through of the new City Hall building. Chief Jones and Division Chief Keith Harris completed one final interview and made a job offer for the open Firefighter/EMT position. Deputy Chief Linda Black attended various webinars throughout the week with Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) officials and various other medical associations regarding COVID-19. Chief Black and Captain Josh Collins assisted the DPH and the Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services with COVID-19 vaccinations. Chief Harris continues to process applicants for open positions for Firefighter/EMT. All base station radios completed a software update. Daily cleaning and sanitizing of self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) mask and regulators continues.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY

¡ Monday, April 5 - Held Command Staff meeting; departmental employees assisted with Meals on Wheels. ¡ Tuesday, April 6 - Interviews for police officer positions held at the Police Department headquarters, five candidates were subject to background checks; Officer David Cagle announced as the Accreditation Manager. ¡ Wednesday, April 7 - Interviews for the records clerk were held at the Police Department headquarters; Police Department sign board at the new City Hall location; Fire Department conducted elevator training at the Police Department headquarters. ¡ Thursday, April 8 - Background checks are being conducted by the Office of Professional Standards for potential qualified applicants who interviewed for the open positions. ¡ Friday, April 9 - Reviewed division weekly reports. ¡ Saturday, April 10 - Members of the Fayetteville Police Department assisted the Georgia Department of Public Health and the Fayette County Health Department with the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines at Fayette County High School. Out of 1,500 vaccines, 1,240 were given to members of the public who had appointments.

HUMAN RESOURCES DEPT. NELLA COOPER Personnel: Assisted employees with login and updates for their first-quarter Goal update in the ClearCompany Performance Management System. We are working with the Communications Team for supervisor and employee training videos for Performance Management and appraisals. We are updating ClearCompany with Appraisals metrics. We continue to focus on COVID-19 and federal and state requirements as they relate to City employees and on remaining compliant with mandates. We continue to maintain a case spreadsheet of potential pandemic cases involving City employees. We continue to review and update various administrative policies for accuracy. We are updating job descriptions for various positions. Met with our Property and Casualty broker to review renewals for the May 1 renewal.

Turn Over Report: There was one new-hire and no terminations during the period of April 5-11. There are 13 vacant positions: four in Fire Services, one in Public Services, six in the Police Department, one in Community & Economic Development (on hold), and one in Human Resources (on hold).

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Reviewed the Meridian on the Square development proposal with the City Attorney; met with the Community Development Director and property owner at 200 Stonewall Avenue to discuss parking area modifications; alcohol ordinance review in preparation for the 4/15 City Council meeting; met with Danny England about land use opportunities along the highway corridor.

Downtown Development Authority/Main Street: Continued marketing and scheduling efforts for the 2021 concerts; reviewed a facade grant application for Fayette Depot with David Mowell; met with Brandon at FilmFly to review the new amphitheater website and to provide updates (the site is now fully operational.

PUBLIC SERVICES DEPT. CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall and Police Department; cut and maintained North Highway 85, Forrest Avenue, Tiger Trail, Lafayette Avenue, and the left side of amphitheater (front parking lot to swimming pool); trimmed and weeded inside the amphitheater, Hood Avenue sidewalks, West Lanier Avenue between Veterans Parkway and Sandy Creek Road, West Lanier Avenue between the city limit sign and the Gingercake Road medians, Grady Avenue and Bradford Square, Stonewall Avenue between Tiger Trail and Bennett Street, Highway 314 medians, North Jeff Davis Drive, Jimmie Mayfield Boulevard, Helen Sams Parkway, the Beauregard Boulevard cart path, Weatherly Walk area, North Glynn Street between Georgia Avenue and Don Easterbrook Way, West Lanier Avenue from Bennett Street to Tiger Trail, Hood Avenue, and Kathi Avenue; sprayed for weeds on Jimmie Mayfield Boulevard; cleaned trucks, mowers, and the shop; completed trash pickup on South Glynn Street and North Highway 85 medians.

Water: Average daily flow of 1.07 million gallons of system demand per day; repaired seven water main breaks; performed maintenance on 85 water meters; maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.
