CITY CLERK’S OFFICE ANNE BARKSDALE Meetings: Weekly Management Team meeting 3/29; met 3/30 with City Manager to discuss events related to transition into the new City Hall building; attended the City Council meeting 4/1.

FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Projects - Chief Alan Jones attended the following meetings: City Council work session, City budget meeting, ClearCompany Performance Management meeting.

Deputy Chief Linda Black attended various webinars throughout the week with Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) officials and various other medical associations regarding COVID-19. Chief Black and Captain Josh Collins assisted the DPH and the Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services with COVID-19 vaccinations. Chief Black assisted the Fayette County Board of Education with mass COVID-19 employee second-dose vaccinations. Division Chief Keith Harris along with a panel of officers conducted interviews for open Firefighter/EMT positions. Overhead Door of Atlanta has begun replacing the damaged bay door at Station 91. A replacement television has been ordered for Station 93. Daily cleaning and sanitizing of self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) mask and regulators continues. Annual bench testing for SCBAs is scheduled for April 20.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY

¡ Monday, March 29 - Attended the Management Team meeting; Chief Scott Gray attended the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police meeting; a list was completed for the lieutenant promotional process (four candidates); Use of Force, De-Escalation, and Firearms training is ongoing this week. ¡ Tuesday, March 30 - Police Department employees assisted the Newnan Police Department with the tornado damage; held the Command Staff meeting; the Command Staff met with Steve Mauro of Comprehensive Program Services regarding Police Department building needs; Deputy Chief Robert Mask met with county officials regarding COVID-19 vaccines to be administered April 10 and May 1 at Fayette County High School. ¡ Wednesday, March 31 - Department employees assisted with COVID-19 vaccinations at the old Station 4. ¡ Thursday, April 1 - New Crime Scene Investigator Mendi Askew started work; Chief Gray met with Abraham Morrall about One Sentence Job Description. ¡ Friday, April 2 - Reviewed weekly reports generated by department divisions. ¡ Saturday, April 3 - Captain Jeff Harris held a test for possible new police officer candidates (20 applicants).

HUMAN RESOURCES DEPT. NELLA COOPER Personnel: Assisted employees with login and updates for their first-quarter Goal update in the ClearCompany Performance Management System. We are working with the Communications Team for supervisor and employee training videos for Performance Management and appraisals. We are updating ClearCompany with Appraisals metrics. We continue to focus on COVID-19 and federal and state requirements as they relate to City employees and on remaining compliant with mandates. We continue to maintain a case spreadsheet of potential pandemic cases involving City employees. We continue to review and update various administrative policies for accuracy. We are updating job descriptions for various positions.

Turn Over Report: There were two new-hires, no terminations,and one departmental transfer during the period of March 29 to April 4. There are 13 vacant positions: four in Fire Services, one in Public Services, six in the Police Department, one in Community & Economic Development (on hold), and one in Human Resources (on hold).

Projects: We are continuing to work on a list of technology needs for the new City Hall building; reviewing the audio/visual plan for the new City Hall continued; documents retention continued (working), Building records (implementation phase), Court; Fleet Maintenance Systems (in-review); new phone system build process; Occupational Tax online form project; Water and Public Works work order system (in-review); video wall for new City Hall (in progress); reviewed and responded to numerous e-mails throughout the week having to do with City projects.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Reviewed vacant parcels with staff for further study within the Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) study area; Reviewed the LCI draft report; staff met with Katie Pace at Southern Conservation Trust to discuss land conservation and development around the Downtown corridor; attended the Fayetteville Business Council meeting at the Fayette Chamber of Commerce; reviewed federal grant opportunities for feasibility and eligibility criteria.

Downtown Development Authority/Main Street: Processed series ticket orders, launched pre-sale for Grand Funk Railroad concert, and opened the 2021 Summer Concert Series tickets for public sale; met with John Lynch to collect remaining inventory at the Holliday Dorsey Fife House; facilitated preparation work for a structural analysis at 195 West Stonewall Avenue house; amphitheater site visit with Sky Dance Academy regarding a June 13 rental; launched the upgraded amphitheater website on March 31; site visit with The Show Business production company to discuss June logistics between a public/private rental schedule.

Sewer: Average daily flow treated was 2.09 million gallons per day; performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift station sites; maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.

Water: Average daily flow of 1.31 million gallons of system demand per day; performed maintenance on 50 water meters; maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.
