City of Fayetteville leaders participate in first-ever ‘State of the Industry’ event at Trilith Studios Film industry and government leaders met October 20 for the first-ever State of the Industry event hosted by Trilith Studios, which is located on the west side of Fayetteville. The purpose of the event was to highlight the increasingly important role the State of Georgia plays in the international film industry. The City of Fayetteville’s relationship with Trilith Studios and the film industry was highlighted in three short videos, which debuted during the event and can be seen on the City’s YouTube channel. Recognizing the Customer Service Initiative Team A special committee known as the Customer Service Initiative Team facilitates the monthly Employee Awards program and hosts the quarterly recognition breakfasts. City welcomes new employees

The City welcomed four new employees in the Month of September. Pictured (l-r) are Police Officer Javier Garivay, Police Officer Philip McDonald, Firefighter Stephen Bowman, and Code Enforcement Officer Travell Daniels.

City Manager Ray Gibson (pictured at right) and Assistant City Manager Alan Jones hosted the City’s first Emerging Leaders training class in October. Fifteen participants were chosen from across City departments for the eightmonth course.

2. The old Melear’s Barbecue restaurant on South Glynn 1. Located behind Fayetteville City Hall & City Center Street (Highway 85), is being redeveloped as Nebors Park, Walton Communities is the first mixed-use Restaurant. apartment complex to be built in Downtown Fayetteville.

3. The Fayette Meadows residential neighborhood is located along Highway 92 South, just down the road from the Ingles and Publix shopping centers.

4. Dixon Farm is approximately 13.6 acres of land located at Whitney Street and Summit Point Drive, next to the Summit Point (Publix) shopping center.

5. Artistic General Dentistry is the first business to be built along the new Church Street extension.

6. The former Hotlanta Wings restaurant building on North Glynn Street (Highway 85) will soon give way to a new Sonic drive-in restaurant.

7. Situated just north of Piccadilly and Hardee’s on Highway 85, Satterfield Outparcel 1 will be home to Take 5 Oil Change (left) and Dunkin’ Donuts.

8. Chicken Salad Chick has already opened to much fanfare in Satterfield Outparcel 6. Joining them soon are Jersey Mike’s and Piedmont Urgent Care.

9. The Satterfield mixed-use development on Highway 85 North is adding a residential component with its Satterfield Townhomes behind the new RaceTrac.

10. Renovations to the former Ruby Tuesday location are nearly complete to welcome a new Outback Steakhouse to the city!

11. Marksmen Properties has built several new warehouse office buildings along Promenade Parkway near Fayette Pavilion.

12. The former Dick’s Sporting Goods store at Fayette Pavilion has now been replaced with the popular At Home retail store.

13. Located at New Hope Road and Highway 314, the Shops at New Hope retail center will have inter-parcel connectivity with adjacent Fayette Pavilion.

14. Construction continues in phases at Trilith Studios located at Veterans Parkway and Sandy Creek Road on the west side of Fayetteville.

15. The Central Park development inside the Town at Trilith neighborhood has already welcomed several new businesses, and more are on the way.

16. Enzo and Thumbs Up Diner are two of the most recent restaurants to open in the Town at Trilith Capstone development.

17. An upscale, boutique hotel is under construction in the Town at Trilith neighborhood. A brand reveal is expected in November.

18. Lafayette Townhomes is under construction at the corner of Campaign Trail and West Lanier Avenue (Highway 54).
