Lucie Ulehlová

Designérka Lucie Ulehlová (* 1999) navrhuje produkty, ktoré vynikajú schopnosťou adaptovať sa na rozličné vlastnosti prostredí, v ktorých sú umiestnené a používané, a taktiež na špecifické potreby svojich užívateľov, ku príkladu ľudí s postihnutím. V tomto duchu Ulehlová vytvorila bezbariérové pítko a modulárne sedenie, obe vhodné pre inštaláciu do verejného priestoru. S obmedzeniami na strane prostredia, v ktorom bude výsledný produkt aplikovaný, pracovala Ulehlová pri navrhovaní skladacieho mlynčeku na kávu pre horských turistov*turistky. Výstupy svojej práce doplňuje tiež o vrstvu grafického designu v podobe vlastných ilustrácií, kde experimentuje aj s technikou modrotisku.

Vo svojej diplomovej práci Modularita (2023) nadväzuje na, v minulosti už rozpracované, princípy modularity a adaptability, ktoré uplatňuje v oblasti interiérového designu. Sústreďuje sa na konštruovanie nábytku a prvkov, ktoré majú mať potenciál deliť a tým pádom aj meniť priestor, v ktorom sú umiestnené. Cieľom Ulehlovej je navrhnúť maximálne adaptabilné prvky, ktoré sú použiteľné viacerými spôsobmi, rozličnými užívateľmi a vo variabilných interiéroch. Integrálnou súčasťou jej pracovného procesu je tiež výber vhodných výrobných postupov pre komponenty navrhovaného nábytku a prvkov, s prihliadnutím k jednej z ich základných vlastností, ktorou je práve modularita.

Lucie Ulehlová je absolventkou Ateliéru produktového designu na FaVU VUT v Brně pod vedením Ondřeje Toboly a Jana Mikošky.

Lucie Ulehlová (* 1999) designs products that can be adapted to suit the different characteristics of the environments in which they are placed and used, and they can also be adapted to the specific needs of their users, such as handicapped people. In this spirit, Ulehlová has created a wheelchair-accessible drinking fountain and modular seating, both suitable for installation in public spaces. Within the constraints of the environment in which the final product will be applied, Ulehlová has worked with the design of a folding coffee grinder for mountain hikers. She also adds a layer of graphic design to the output of her work, in the form of her own illustrations, where she also experiments with the blueprint technique.

In her diploma thesis Modularity (2023), she builds on the principles of modularity and adaptability, already developed in the past, which she applies in the field of interior design. She focuses on the construction of furniture and elements that have the potential to be divided and therefore change the space in which they are placed. Ulehlová’s aim is to design elements that can be adapted and used in multiple ways by different users and in variable interiors. An integral part of her working process is also the selection of appropriate manufacturing processes for the components of the designed furniture and elements, taking into account one of their fundamental characteristics, which is modularity.

Lucie Ulehlová obtained her master’s degree in Product Design Studio at the FFA BUT under the supervision of Ondřej Tobola a Jan Mikoška.
