Olga Staňková

Olga Staňková (* 1995) ve své malířské tvorbě dlouhodobě a cíleně zkoumá možnosti vyjádření nehmotných jevů z okolního i svého vlastního vnitřního světa za užití minimalistických barevných prostředků a abstrahovaných forem. Při snaze ztvárnit esenci fenoménů, jako je ticho či nepřítomnost, pracuje kombinovanou technikou, která nechává diváctvo tápat,zda jsou tajuplné formy na obraze namalované autorčinou rukou,nebo se jedná o obtisky blíže neurčitých objektů a materiálů.Efemérnost a neuchopitelnost obrazům dodává také jemnost, s jakou se motivy zdánlivě vytrácejí či rozpouštějí z plátna pryč.

V některých případech, jako např. v sérii s názvem Velmi hlasitý šepot (z let 2020–2021), působí velkoformátová plátna v tlumených šedých odstínech, doplněných subtilními bílými akcenty, dojmem, jako by se z nich vyobrazené tvary a barevné pigmenty téměř vypařovaly přímo před očima, které se snaží usilovně uchopit načrtnuté významy. Svébytnou polohu představuje ranější série v tónech černé barvy s lesklými plochami a odrazy v podobě obrazů malovaných na latex (2021), k nimž jako by uvozovala cestu rozsáhlá práce na klasickém plátně v černo-šedých tónech evokující téměř meditativní proces snahy nahlédnout do lidských myšlenek. Stejně tak by se ovšem mohlo jednat i o soustředěný pohled do vzdálených hlubin (2020). Experiment s matérií malby vedl v případě tohoto projektu také ke vzniku několika zcela i částečně transparentních skleněných objektů.

Zkoumání fyzických možností a definice malby pokračuje i v diplomovém projektu. Série nazvaná Reprezentace nepřítomnosti (2023) se věnuje transformaci a kontrastu současných přírodních změn s technickým, umělým prostředím. Autorka ve vzniklých obrazech, vytvořených transformací zabarvení kovu na velkých ocelových plátech, zaznamenává proměnu našeho současného vnímání přírody.

Olga Staňková je absolventkou Ateliéru malířství 3 na FaVU VUT v Brně pod vedením nejprve Petra Kvíčaly a Břetislava Malého, později Patricie Fexové a Veroniky Vlkové. Svou tvorbu doposud představila především na skupinových výstavách a projektech v rámci místní nezávislé galerijní scény.

In her painting work, Olga Staňková (* 1995) has long and purposefully explored the possibilities of expressing intangible phenomena from the surrounding world, as well as from her own inner world, using minimalist means of colour and abstracted forms. In an attempt to portray the essence of such phenomena as silence or absence, she works with a mixed media technique that leaves the viewer confused as to whether the mysterious forms in the paintings are painted by the artist’s hand or are decals of unspecified objects and materials. The ephemerality and elusiveness of Staňková’s paintings is also enhanced by the subtlety with which the motifs seemingly disappear or dissolve away from the canvas.

In some cases, such as in the series titled Very Loud Whisper (from 2020–2021), the large-format canvases in muted shades of grey, accompanied by subtle white accents, give the impression that the shapes and colour pigments depicted are almost evaporating away right before the eyes that are struggling to grasp the meanings outlined. The earlier series in tones of black with glossy surfaces and reflections in the form of paintings on latex (2021), to which a largescale work on a classic canvas in black and grey tones evoking an almost meditative process of trying to look into the innermost of human thoughts seems to have led the way. However, it could just as well be a concentrated look into the distant depths (2020). In the case of this project, experimentation with the material of painting also led to the creation of transparent and semi-transparent glass objects.

The exploration of the physical possibilities and a definition of painting continues in Staňková’s diploma project. The series entitled Representation of Absence (2023) is dedicated to the transformation and contrast between contemporary natural changes and technical, artificially created environments. In the resulting paintings, created by transforming the colouring of metal on large steel plates, the artist records the transformation of our contemporary perception of nature.

Olga Staňková is a graduate of the Painting Studio 3 at the FFA BUT under the guidance of Petr Kvíčala and Břetislav Malý, later Patricie Fexová and Veronika Vlková. Staňková has so far mainly presented her work in group exhibitions and projects within the local independent gallery scene.
