Vodafone DIT Fashion Show 2013 Taking Vicar Street by STORM!!

Vodafone DIT Fashion Show 2013 Last April 17, 2013 the Vodafone Dublin Institute of Technology DIT Fashion Show once again took Vicar Street by storm.

the committee prepared and presented it’s 10th show.

The show which has now become a firm highlight on Ireland’s fashion calendar was set to be bigger, bolder and braver than ever before.

This year’s theme was House of Chaos: A Twisted tale. Far from embracing maturity the show is striding toward adolescence with gusto and wild abandon.

2013 marked a very special year for the Dublin Institute of Technology Vodafone Fashion Show as

The path to adulthood is full of twists and turns, joyful discoveries and unpredictable changes and the show’s creators tried to challenge it’s audience and took this journey with them.

The show which was entirely run by Dublin Institute of Technology Fashion and Design students plunged the audience into a world of delirium and chaos filled with the eccentric and crazy creations of their imaginations.

This year’s show promised to shock, amuse and delight its audiences taking them further than any show has before and they did more than that.

The whole show was filled with thrill, engaging, with lots of surprises and the audience possibly left with more questions than answers.

It was not the typical kind of collections and show you would normally see on the runway, they were not pleasant to look at certain point but they were very artistic and beautifully unique on its own, that you would feel in awe and appreciate the weirdness of the look. It was crazy but undoubtedly fun and creative.

The Vodafone Student Design Competition was more fiercely contested than ever making the selection of the final 13 an extremely difficult task for the judges. The overall winner was announced on the night of the show, receiving a cash prize of €2,500 and a trophy. The proceeds of the show went to Dublin Institute of Technology chosen charity which is to cater for education.

Vodafone Ireland once again was on board as the title sponsor reaffirming their commitment to nurturing and promoting young fashion talents in Ireland. The DIT Fashion Society is one of 80 clubs and societies in DIT with some 6,000 student members involved in their wide-ranging activities.. All societies placed heavy emphasis on the experience students’ gained from managing and participating in productions, campaigns and events, such as the DIT Vodafone Fashion Show. Next year’s Vodafone DIT Fashion Show is already amongst the most anticipated show of the respected people in the fashion industry.
