Dear Far Hills Community,
The crossing of the bridge sits as a pivotal moment in the lives of our students. Similarly, the 2022–23 school year felt like a bridge of sorts. We continued to find new ways and opportunities to celebrate our community while putting distance between ourselves and restrictions related to the pandemic. Regardless of the year or the restriction, our community’s commitment to our mission remains strong and unwavering. And for that, I am extremely grateful.
The following pages and lists highlight the generosity of our school community. Essential to any list however are the names and the stories behind each gift or donation to the school. The “why” if you will. For there are as many reasons people give of their time, talent, and treasure as there are names in this Impact Report. It is because of the generosity of our parents, alumni, grandparents, and friends that our students thrive and our teachers excel. And speaking of our faculty, I want to recognize their commitment to their students, their craft, and this community. It is our faculty that set us apart in a very competitive private school market."
Leading the way is our tremendous Board of Trustees. Just as students benefit from a strong Parent & School partnership, schools benefit from a strong partnership between the Head of School and the Board of Trustees. Our school is very fortunate to have such caring and dedicated Trustees, and there is no one more caring or dedicated than our Board Chair Joe Ferraro.
Our 2022-23 Parents Committee, led by Lauren Ingenito and Beth Vartuli, gave so much of themselves throughout the year. Our Parent Committee members epitomize selflessness and commitment, and their hours on campus and in meetings, supporting the administration and teachers probably can’t be accurately measured. Their passion for the school is truly amazing.
As we move forward to the 2023–24 school year, we do so on the strong foundation of the community’s philanthropy. Donors to the Together We Build the Future of Far Hills Capital Campaign continue to have an impact on spaces and people around campus. Our Annual Fund surpassed it’s goal, thereby providing the school with financial flexibility for increasing costs such as safety and security. And our Gala and Golf Classic events continued to strengthen our community’s relationships while providing financial support for faculty salaries, professional development, and classroom technology.
This is all to say that the generosity of our community has a tremendous impact on the lives of our students. I invite you to follow along with our students’ journeys. I encourage you to support their Expos and Adventure Trips. Watch them as they cross bridges and do so with a foundation made possible by your generosity.

Dear Friends,
The 2022 – 2023 school year represented another strong level of commitment of time, talent and treasure by our community for the benefit of our children, faculty and staff, and one another. Consistent with past years, many events and initiatives throughout the year demonstrated the commitment I allude to above.
The school year started with great excitement and the mixing of new and returning families at the Parent Social at the U.S. Golf Association Museum. It was an evening full of friendship and fun. The Parents Committee, led by Lauren Ingenito P'21, '24, '28, and
Beth Vartuli P'23, '25, were instrumental in strengthening our culture of participation and keeping our parent body informed and engaged. And on a warm September evening, the ever-popular Pep Rally brought out current families and alumni in full force.
Hamilton Farm Golf Club was home to our two most prominent events. The 2023 Golf Outing, led by PJ Calello P'21, '24,'30, brought us together for some friendly competition. The option of playing the Par-3 Hickory Course was a welcomed new dynamic and increased participation in the event. Also held at Hamilton Farm was our signature spring event, the Far Hills Gala. Never have gala co-chairs brought such joy and warmth to the event as Kat Brucchieri P'29, '31, and Mari Lagendijk P'25, '29, '34. On behalf of the entire Board of Trustees, I thank the chairs and all of our volunteers for their creativity, dedication, and commitment to Far Hills.
The Far Hills Fund, led by John and Annie Albright P '29, '32, raised close to $600,000 for the school. As the development activity that brings the most to the bottom line, our efforts to increase participation and total funds raised continue to trend more robustly. We hope you will consider participating in this year's Far Hills Fund, as your continued support makes all the difference.
All the efforts and events highlighted above underscored the main reason for all the time, talent, and treasure committed—our children. Bringing our community together to support Far Hills' mission is at the heart of our fundraising efforts. As the Board strives to strike a balance in budgeting for the school's operation with our tuition levels in mind, the generosity of the community – past and present - plays a vital role. On the following pages, we thank all the volunteers and donors who continue to humble us with their outpouring support.
