Biblical Soul Care? INSPIRED, INERRANT, INFALLIBLE, AUTHORITATIVE, AND SUFFICIENT FOR ALL MATTERS For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV PAGE 01
Why
A 501(C) (3) DEDICATED TO PROVIDING CERTIFIED BIBLICAL COUNSELING TO AID VETERANS, MILITARY AND FIRST RESPONDER FAMILIES.
rom seedlings planted in the 1700s in America and Europe, to the first blossoms born in the laboratory of Wundt and the psychoanalytical couch of Freud in the late 1800s, the church has increasingly surrendered its belief in the sufficiency of Scripture to address all matters of life and faith (2 Peter 1:3 and others).
As the western culture, including its seminaries, ever-increasingly prioritized the scientism of psychology and psychiatry in addressing the problems of the heart and soul, the church found itself abandoning its role and responsibility to counsel to the fields of secular psychology and integrationism.
We invite you to read how The Lord is blessing our mission and welcome your charitable support to assist us in providing Certified Biblical Counseling to our community of Veterans and First Responders as we work together to return Biblical Soul Care to our churches.
Fallen Soldiers March has been building a network of Certified Biblical Counselors to address the “consequences of war” in ways that glorify God.
Fallen Soldiers March (FSM) exists to help reduce the 20+ daily Veteran suicides and to assist Veterans, Active Duty Military & First Responder Families seeking to understand how God is sovereign over all His creation and all circumstances.
The Fallen Soldiers March gifts Certified Biblical Counseling to help Veterans, Military, and First Responder families overcome the consequences of war. FSM delivers Certified Biblical Counseling and Discipleship live when possible and/or virtually via a secure Internet network to accommodate schedules and/or to access individuals living in remote areas, to inspire participation in a local church, trusting the Sufficiency of Scripture.

A Material Definition of Biblical Counseling
Psychological Counseling
Combines human observations with human wisdom to construct a system of counseling to help man deal with his problems and issues of life. This type of counseling is generally practiced by non-believers and Christians who accept psychological theories as an avenue to help people.
Integration Counseling
Combines human observation, human wisdom, and the Bible to construct a system of counseling to help man deal with his problems and issues of life.
This is sometimes called “Christian Counseling.” This type of counseling is generally practiced by Christians who believe the Bible should be supplemented with psychological theories in order to help people.
Biblical Counseling
Uses the Bible to construct a system of counseling to help man deal with his non-physical or immaterial problems of life. This type of counseling is generally practiced by Christians who believe that the Bible has all we need to provide solutions to man’s non-physical, or immaterial problems as well as what the world calls “psychological” problems. They also believe that the Bible can help man function as God intended in life.
Definition of Biblical Counseling
Biblical counseling can be defined as “using the Word of God (the Bible) within the context it was written to provide solutions and the application of those solutions to non-organic, immaterial, spiritual, and what the world calls ‘psychological’ or ‘mental disorder’ problems.” The Word of God is used in a precise and efficient manner to address these matters. The Word of God is used anticipating the salvation of sinners and the sanctification of saints as a result. Biblical counseling can also be defined as “using the Word of God to give comprehensive answers to non-physical problems on a small group level or one-on-one interpersonal level.”

In essence, biblical counseling is applied biblical systematic theology. It is the practical ministry that comes out of knowing and understanding the Bible and the theology of the Bible. Biblical Counseling is the practical, comprehensive ministry of soul care that comes out of knowing, understanding, and applying biblical
We have been warned in Scripture not to pursue human wisdom for our insights for living.
We are warned in Scripture not to trust human wisdom for principles for living, understanding of human attitudes, motives, behaviors, and our solution for man’s inner problems (problems that are non-organic in nature).
See Psalm 1:1—2 and Colossians 2:8.
We are warned in Scripture not to trust our own wisdom because we can be deceived by our own wisdom.
See Proverbs 3:5—6; 14:12; 16:2, 25; 21:2, and Jeremiah 17:9.
We are instructed in Scripture that God’s wisdom is superior to man’s wisdom. Therefore, man’s wisdom should not be added to God’s wisdom as solutions to man’s inner problems (Problems that are non-organic in nature).
See 1Corinthians 1:21, 25; 2:2—5; 3:20, and Isaiah 55:8—11.
We are instructed in Scripture that God’s wisdom is sufficient to counsel the inner person (the immaterial aspect of man). See Psalm 119:24, 99, 100, Hebrews 4:12, and Psalm 19:7—11

These staggering facts from the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) and the United States Department of Veteran Affairs, combined with exacerbation of PTS and existing need for treatment through Certified Biblical Counseling has led Fallen Soldiers March to an important and exciting partnership with Deaf Biblical Counseling.
Fellowship of Biblical Counselors (FBC)
The goal of FBC in certifying Training Centers is to bring biblical counseling under the authority of the local church. Directors of FBC Training Centers serve under the oversight of local church pastors/elders. FBC offers fellowship among men and women committed to Spirit-filled living, upholding the Word of God as all-sufficient and authoritative for life and godliness, and relying solely on the transforming gospel of Jesus Christ .
Institute of Biblical Counseling & Discipleship (IBCD)
Originally founded in 1982 as CCEF West, IBCD exists to strengthen churches in oneanother care through training resources and events. They serve organizations and individuals who share a passion to see believers equipped through life’s struggles with the Word of God, doing this by offering training, as well as offering counseling resources, events and free resources that are helpful to anyone interested in learning how to better help others.

Association of Certified Biblical Counselors
ACBC exists to equip you to minister the Bible faithfully to those all around you who are in need of God’s truth. Our biblically grounded certification process is made up of three phases include Learning, Exams & Evaluations concluding with Supervision.
Truth In Love Biblical Training Center
OUR MISSION: To make practical, systematic, and historically consistent Bible training and education available and affordable to everyday believers in order to equip the saints for the ministry to which God has called each of them.
International Association of Biblical Counselors
A primary philosophical precept of IABC is that it is impossible to mix psychology with the Bible and remain true to God’s Word.
We genuinely believe that the Bible provides all the information necessary for the healing of the heart, soul, mind, and spirit of God’s children (2 Peter 1:3) as we allow the Holy Spirit to work.
We are also here to serve the church by providing resources for biblical, Christ-centered education that many churches and ministries would like to but are unable to provide.

Preliminary Data
As the Fallen Soldiers March network of counseling grew, we immediately recognized the need to monitor and track the progress of both counselees and counselors.
Discussions with Dr. Bob Olender, the creator of Biblicare, resulted in both his desire to join the Fallen Soldiers March Senior Advisory Board and a generous donation to help us deploy and train counselors on the Biblicare software package.
While we are still adding data and documenting both current cases and previous cases, the data and insight we have achieved from Biblicare show both the immense need and value of these services.
MO firmly believes in the sufficiency of Scripture and the roles of the local church, prayer, and accountability in living a purposeful, content life. The continued discipleship process, also referred to as Aftercare , is vital to ensuring a graduate is successful and supported upon returning to his or her daily life. Professional and longterm care is critically important for those who need it. When a cohort graduates from a MO one-week intensive Legacy program, at the request of the Legacy Program graduate, MO session mentors contact FSM and assist the graduate in requesting an aftercare program follow-up in the form of biblical counseling. FSM’s MO Coordinator then works to pair each graduate with a biblical counselor. The FSM MO coordinator initially searches for a counselor who is near the graduate in order to facilitate face-to-face counseling. When that objective is not possible, the FSM coordinator identifies a counselor who will counsel remotely via Zoom or Skype. FSM will also facilitate for graduates needing assistance with Biblical, which is the software management tool. FSM uses Biblical software to keep track of the counseling that all 80+ FSM counselors are gifting.
We will continue to update this data but these are our current estimates
4,725 Hours of Counseling
5.5 Months Average Time With A Counselor
189 Clients
$590,625 Estimated Value Of Counseling Services
Male counselors are assigned to men, and female counselors are assigned to women. For marriage counseling, male counselors are assigned and, when possible, both a male and female counselor are assigned to a marrie d couple. The FSM counselor then meets regularly, usually weekly, with the MO Legacy graduate for as long as it takes to help the graduate deal with his or her issues biblically. FSM is committed to ACBC and IABC standards that reinforce MO’s objective that each graduate become s part of a local church body and attends regularly.
Some of this data has been extrapolated from existing cases and represents averages across all cases. Each case is unique and may require more or less time with a counselor; in many cases the initial individual counseling will also evolve into whole family or marital counseling.

Quarterly Newsletters
Each quarter Fallen Soldiers March distributes an e-mail newsletter to subscribers and also publishes the articles online. These articles are contributed by Advisory Board members as well as other thought leaders in the Biblical Counseling community and others touched by the efforts of Fallen Soldiers March.
Early on we recognized the traditional social media outlets were not a reliable communication channel for our message.
Our views are firmly grounded in Christian beliefs and values, and often conflict with “cancel culture.” Although we seek to always act and communicate with equal parts compassion and conviction, even the basic idea that the Bible is inspired, inerrant, and infallible, authoritative and sufficient for all matters has drawn us into conflict with media and technology giants.
Because of this, our primary method of communication has been direct emails and our website.
The Lord has blessed us with an incredible variety of authors that are moved to share their ideas and stories, and the quality of their work is clearly evident in the statistics. The “open rate” of our emails has consistently DOUBLED the industry averages,
and we have new subscribers daily. Many of our newsletter articles receive thousands of views on our website, long after the initial publication.
We have published the titles and author by-lines for several of these articles below to give you an idea of the content and quality of material available. To read each piece in it’s entirety and the entire selection of articles we have not included here, please visit

George Müller
He Simply Published a Report
This story inspired and guided Fallen Soldiers March to begin developing our network of Certified Biblical Counselors dedicated to gifting their services to Veterans, First Responders, and their Families - “If you build it, they will come . . .”
George Muller 1805-1898
Written by Patsy Stevens, a retired teacher.
George Müller was born in Germany on September 27, 1805. He attended the University of Halle and had a friend named Beta who invited him to a Bible study. They talked of a loving God and knelt when they prayed. Müller’s heart was touched and it was the start of a new life for him.
afford to rent a good seat. He discontinued the pew rents and put a collection box at the rear of the church. More money was collected through free-will offerings than by renting the pews. After two years Henry Craik asked Müller to move to Bristol to work with him. In the 1800s orphans had no one to care for them and had to beg for or steal food in order to survive. People did not have pity on them, and the government put the children in work houses where they worked long hours under the harshest of conditions.
Müller began to pray about starting an orphan house. Money began to come in even though he didn’t solicit money from people. His vision was for the orphan home to be for children who were truly orphaned, having lost both parents.
Henry Craik, a man who would have a huge impact on him, offered him a job as pastor at Teignmouth, a small congregation of 18 members. At the church where he preached, the people rented the pews where they sat during the services. Müller thought this was unfair to poor people who could not
“God will provide”
Charles Dickens’ story of Oliver Twist brought the plight of these unfortunate children to light.
In 1835 there were only a dozen orphan homes in all of England and Wales, and they charged fees to care for the children. Poor children who became orphans had to move in with relatives or were sent to work in the workhouses.
Müller began to pray about starting an orphan house. Money began to come in even though he didn’t solicit it from people. His vision was for the orphan home to be for children who were truly orphaned, having lost both parents. None would be turned away due to poverty or race. The children would be educated and trained for a trade.
“God will provide,” he said. He talked with people about the need for caring for these waifs. Gifts of furniture, money, dishes, etc. began to come in. Müller kept a detailed record of every gift. People showed up offering to teach and work in the orphanage.
Soli De o Gloria FALLEN SOL D I ERS MARCH®
PAGE 14
During Müller’s lifetime he gave away $700,000 that had been given to him for his personal needs. He spent hours every day studying the Bible and praying. He felt that God was calling him to care for even more orphans. After five weeks of prayer, he determined that God wanted him to build a large facility. It would be expensive, $18,000. That’s the equivalent to $1,000,000 in today’s money.
He found seven acres at Ashley Down that seemed to be the perfect place. The landowner reduced the price for him. Müller would not go into debt to build. He had to have the money in hand before he would start building. Economic times were hard, but after two and a half years, he had the funding. Two years later in 1849, the first building was completed to house 300 children. Over the next 21 years, four more homes were built in which over 2,000 children would be cared for.
James Wright became Müller’s helper, and the older man trained him to be his successor. Müller’s daughter and James were married. Müller’s wife, Mary, died and he later remarried. Susannah Sangar was 16 years younger than George. She, just as Mary had been, was an excellent helpmate to him.
With his son-in-law, James, to run the orphanages, Susannah
arranged speaking tours for her husband, who was now 70 years old. She said he needed to tell others his message of depending on God for everything. The couple traveled all over the world.
In 17 years they traveled 200,000 miles, visiting 42 countries urging people to read their Bibles, pray, and rely on God.
Susannah died when she was 73 years old. George Müller passed away on March 10, 1898, at the age of 92. Thousands of people lined the streets to honor him. Two thousand orphans were in attendance.
In addition to caring for orphans, George Müller also paid for the printing of Bibles and tracts. He gave away more than 250,000 Bibles. He paid tuition for hundreds of children to go to school. During his lifetime, in answer to prayer he raised the equivalent of $129,000,000 which he gave away, and when he died, he had only a little money left. The trust he set up continues to support missionaries around the world. It also holds the records for most of the nearly 18,000 children cared for during the 150 year life of the orphanage.

Veterans Appeal
By Pastor Nathan Irving, Three Tour, Purple Heart Recipient, USMC Veteran
For anyone who has been stationed for any period of time at one of our country’s military bases, Mr. Bennett’s remark is at once doubtful and an understatement. Doubtful for several reasons: First, today’s military members are (perhaps as never before) bombarded and accosted by all manner of enticements and worldly allurements, the likes of which would make even a Los Angeles Times editor blush.
to
harvest . . . The susceptibility of the soldiers to the gospel is wonderful, and, doubtful as the remark may appear, the military camp is most favorable to the work of revival.”
~William W. Bennett, Chaplain of the Army of Northern Virginia
If there is a thing to be desired, however vile, it can probably be found in close proximity to a military base. This reality means that our soldiers are almost always under moral pressure.
Second, gone are the days of clear lines of blue or gray or red, where the enemy can be easily discerned and attacked. Banners, trenches, and the like are things of the past, as well. For years, our military has been called to the task of fighting unseen enemies. There has been a war without borders—a conflict where the adversary is less easily defined by nationality or some other human category than by a term: terror.
And third, in very recent years, the difficulty of carrying out the duty of a soldier has been increased exponentially by unseen enemies of a different kind. Where other generations of military members have enjoyed being quarantined from the larger culture in matters of sexual ethics and politics, today’s men and women in uniform are being forced to support and defend novel, moral, and political virtues, even if they contradict their own sincerelyheld beliefs. “Don’t ask, don’t tell” has been replaced with, “We’ll ask if you agree, and you’ll tell us you do, or else.” It’s not as catchy, but it definitely gets the point across . . .
This is likely why much of the focus in recent months has been on the military. Where the battle is most greatly raging, there the opportunity for the greatest gain lies, for either side. Christians who find themselves in the positions alluded to above are in dire need of an armory of spiritual weaponry. They need to be trained to defend the faith once delivered to the saints, spiritually resupply their families, and understand how to conduct themselves in the sight of God in their various roles as members of the armed forces of the United States.
The institution that God has given for this purpose is the local church. It is the privilege of Fallen Soldiers March to come alongside churches and ministries that seek to serve this country’s active, reserve, and veteran military members, as well as their communities’ first-responders, help them assist through biblical counseling and training. Recognizing the complexities of training and deployment schedules, the needs of those who have been in combat, and the unique challenges of military families, it is the desire of FSM to participate in the great task of reviving our nation’s military, to the glory of God.

President’s Dispatch
The Fallen Soldiers March® is organized and run by volunteers with a passion to honor our veterans and first responders, serve our great nation, and assist our fallen soldiers.
The Fallen Soldiers March® Board passionately reveres the inspired Word of God communicated by John 15:13: “Greater love has no man than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”
The daily examples of our United States Military personnel’s personification of the principle God spoke through John is often contrasted by our governmental paradox of rhetorically communicating heroism during active duty, yet undermining rules for engagement, compensation, healthcare, and benefits desperately needed by our warriors and their families.
We strive to honor our warriors’ selfless and sacrificial actions by inspiring patriotic acts of kindness and conduct to compensate for the historical and current selfishness modeled by many in government leadership.
Our vision is to advance the construction of our network of Certified Biblical Counselors, a team dedicated to the sufficiency of Scripture to minister biblical soul care designed to facilitate healing for broken individuals and families.
Our hope is to inspire biblical revival and patriotism across America, teaching and leading our children by example.
To that end, we pray that God ignites a grass-fire across our great nation, inspiring an exodus from selfishness, stirring “we the people” to honor our Creator by applying in our lives the biblical
principles taught by His Son, Jesus, and the divinely inspired providential document of the United States Constitution. We invite you to dedicate your time to learn about us through our website, www.FallenSoldiersMarch.com.
With warmest regards & respect,
Soli Deo Gloria!!!
