Off the Entry, double doors open into the Master Bedroom. Light grey plush carpet greets you at the doorway. A calm energy encourages relaxation and peace. Moss green and white bed linen is placed with a wave padded bedhead, a dark green armchair in the corner grounds the space.

Down the hall to the centre of the home sits the Kitchen, Meals and Family. Tucked inconspicuously behind the Kitchen is a Butler’s Pantry and Laundry, with dual access to the Laundry via the Entry Hallway and Butler’s Pantry. The Laundry with a Boston Oak laminate benchtop spans from wall to wall, with ample base cabinetry storage, allowing white goods to be hidden underneath. Terrazzo floor tiles extend over the benchtop, together with a thick timber laminate shelf. The Kitchen is designed for entertaining, expansive white stone benchtops, mix of white Thermolaminate cabinetry and timber overheads widen the space, leather bar stools adding to the luxury. Thought has been used towards the upgraded ceramic cooktop and underbench oven, suggesting this feature is for foodies.

Sharing the Kitchen space is the Meals and Family, raked ceiling catches your attention drawing your eye towards the prominent and ultimate gas fireplace. The matt black fireplace highlights the textural contrast of the natural stacked stone paver situated behind. White modular couch and timber furniture enhance the room. Wall hung TV filling the wall space next to the fireplace. The Meals a showstopper, showing off the space with a skylight center above the table, filling the area with natural light.

Alfredo & Darlene

Young couple Alfredo and Darlene, wanted to achieve the great Australian dream and purchase their first home after migrating from overseas.

“We decided to build so that we had the flexibility in the design of our house based on our plans and goals in the future. For a young family like us, building is a journey we have been wanting to embark on.” Alfredo shares.

The search for the perfect builder

After visiting several display homes from other builders, the pair visited Fairhaven’s display homes.

“We found ourselves revisiting Fairhaven’s display homes. They feel like our own home to us. Not to mention their New Home Consultants in every display are really accommodating.”

The bridgewater Range

The couple had purchased their block of land in Melbourne’s South East prior to choosing to build with Fairhaven.

Darlene described the Bridgewater process as straight forward, flexible plus there’s lots of floorplan options to choose from.

Love at first sight

The Clovelly offers four large Bedrooms and an open plan Family and Meals area. The Master Bedroom is located at the front of the home, with a central Bathroom and a separate Powder Room at the rear, servicing the remaining Bedrooms.

Any non-negotiables for their home?

“Yes, there are a few things like raked ceiling, separate Kitchen sink from the island bench and a good sized pantry.”

The build

“The happiest moment was when our Site Supervisor handed over the keys. Everything became real in that moment.”

“The team was great and couldn’t fault them. They have been honest and accommodating. Despite changing our Site Supervisor halfway through the build, we never had a big issue with our build. The team made the building process easy for us as first home builders.”
