On Chelsea’s waterfront, a new creative heart rises.
A place of fantasy, art, music, theater, dance, and romance. Of lovers’ kisses and children’s laughter.
Of fine food and wine, and sensual midnight speakeasies. A place to renew the body, feast the senses, and spark the soul.
Unmistakably New York— yet a place like no other.
THE ARTISTIC COLLABORATION
Ascension
DIEGO GRAVINESE
A monumental mural by artist Diego Gravinese, commissioned for The Cathedral at Faena New York , that illuminates the sacred path of inner transformation through the Tree of Life, guiding the viewer from pure potential to full manifestation.
Ascension unfolds as a cyclical narrative of self-discovery, awakening, and our place within the cosmos. Monumental figures anchor moments along this journey, embodying the tension between ego and spiritual transformation. From left to right, time transitions, moving through stages of wisdom and understanding from day into night and birth into rebirth. At the center, the Colossal Woman embodies the feminine as an essential force of cosmic harmony. Hidden throughout the mural, smaller vignettes weave stories of creation and transformation. The journey begins with the unmanifested potential of the Cosmic Egg and culminates in the realized unity of self and Cosmos. This site-specific mural was commissioned by Faena and conceived specifically for the monumental scale and spiritual resonance of the Cathedral at Faena New York
Diego Gravinese is a contemporary artist known for his hyper realistic paintings that blur the line between photography and painting. Born in Buenos Aires in 1971, he developed a distinctive style that combines meticulous detail with a dreamlike, sometimes surreal atmosphere. Gravinese’s work often explores themes of nostalgia, intimacy, and the unexpected within everyday moments. Using oil and acrylic on canvas, he creates strikingly lifelike compositions that capture light, texture, and emotion with remarkable precision. His paintings challenge perception, inviting viewers to question the boundaries between reality and representation. His work has been exhibited internationally in galleries and museums across the United States, Europe, and Latin America. Over the years, Gravinese has gained recognition as one of South America’s leading contemporary artists, continuously pushing the limits of realism in painting.

ALBERTO GARUTTI
A Luminous Dialogue Between Skies ALBERTO GARUTTI
In his final work for Faena New York , Garutti transforms real-time lightning data into monumental chandeliers that pulse like constellations, bridging distant places and reminding us of our shared connection beneath the same sky.
Alberto Garutti’s final work carries his poetic dialogue between art and nature into a new chapter, conceived as a unique counterpart to his celebrated installation at Faena Miami Beach, where chandeliers flicker with lightning strikes over the Pampas. In New York , three monumental chandeliers now answer to storms in another sky; each light pulsing with every lightning flash recorded over a precisely mapped 1,000-by-1,000-meter region in Italy. Garutti transforms real-time meteorological data into a living constellation of light, a reminder that we are all connected beneath the same sky. Dedicated to all those who, at this moment, are looking upward, Storm becomes a luminous bridge between distant places, shared time, and the enduring wonder of nature’s spectacle.
Alberto Garutti was a contemporary artist and educator renowned for his conceptual and participatory art. Garutti’s work explores the intersection of art, architecture, and public spaces, often involving the audience in the creative process. His projects seek to foster a dialogue between art, the environment, and the people who experience it. Garutti was best known for his installations that bridge everyday life and artistic expression, such as his chandeliers that illuminate whenever a child is born in a nearby hospital, symbolizing the connection between public and private experiences. His works often address themes of memory, community, and shared human experience, blending poetry with social engagement. As a professor, Garutti has influenced generations of artists through his teaching roles at prestigious institutions, including the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan and IUAV University in Venice. His art has been exhibited in major international venues, and he remains a pivotal figure in contemporary conceptual art.
Power Of Fires
FRANCIS MALLMANN
On the ground floor, overlooking the lively plaza, world-renowned Chef Francis Mallmann invites guests to savor his vision of traditional asado cuisine. In his own words, what follows captures the essence of his culinary craft.
“Keep the fire alive in your heart. Feed it with courage—never withhold. Burn through mediocrity, and forge your craft with honest peculiarity.”
This is not just a place to eat—it’s a space where fire is kept alive in every gesture. Where food is crafted with courage and curiosity, not just to nourish the body, but to feed life itself with purpose, silence, and hope. Here, we cook at the edge of uncertainty, where flavor meets conviction, and beauty never comes at the cost of authenticity. A quiet pause in the kitchen can uncover truths that speed may overlook. In every dish, we honor the essence of who we are—dreamers, doers of deeds, and believers in the quiet power of sharing. La Boca in Buenos Aires is my home, where the table is set not for guests but for blunt tenderness. An outburst of dissidence, opposites, not precisely harmony. Here I cook what we eat—not to impress but to remember. A surprised assembly of my life in your lips. And now, we are bringing La Boca to New York.
La Boca is not a posh neighborhood, but it holds the soul of Argentina. It’s where Italian immigrants—many from Genoa—settled by the banks of the Río de la Plata, dreaming of the food from their homeland while building a life around the water. La Boca lives in its brightly colored tin houses. It is the birthplace of tango— the world’s most sensual and elegant dance, born from love and betrayal. It tears hearts apart with the passion of soccer, where masterfully kicking a ball could carry you to glory and into the collective memory of a nation—outlasting presidents and heroes
of bygone days. Boca Juniors and its stadium, La Bombonera, stand as one of the great pedestals of our country, upholding a passion that has outlived generations, creating a pagan religion of mystery, magic, and conquest. As for me, I live in a historic corner, just a block away from Caminito, overlooking the river— kept safe at night by local bandits and thieves, phantoms of the past: angels and demons of every dreaming soul. Living among neighbors whose hearts drip with the weight of starting anew each day has rooted me in this cartier with a love that defies reason, safety, and logic. My eyes well with tears every time I open the door.
A culinary poet of flame and smoke, internationally renowned chef Francis Mallmann’s mastery of open-fire cooking honors the soulful spirit of South American cuisine. Shaped by the wild beauty of Patagonia’s Lago Moreno, his approach blends memory, instinct, and elemental elegance, transforming fire into art and food into feeling. His signature style emphasizes simplicity, a deep respect for ingredients, and an enduring connection to nature’s quiet power.
A vibrant tribute to the New York icon whose bold lines, colors, and symbols turned the city’s streets into a canvas for joy, unity, and change.
Celebrating the legacy of iconic New York artist Keith Haring, this passageway honors a visionary whose work continues to shape the city’s cultural heartbeat. Emerging from the subways and streets of 1980s downtown Manhattan, Haring brought art into everyday life, breaking down barriers between high and low culture with bold lines, vibrant colors, and universal symbols of love, movement, and resistance. His work became a voice for social change, a beacon of joy, and a mirror of the city’s energy. In 1983, invited by Montreux Jazz Festival, Keith created this monumental work transforming the festival stage into a living canvas. Working live as musicians performed, he painted large-scale backdrops in his bold, improvisational style, echoing the spontaneity of jazz itself. These works, created in real time before audiences, fused music and art into a single act of performance, capturing the rhythm, energy, freedom, and spontaneity. As guests move through this corridor toward The Living Room, our space for nightly revelry and connection, they are invited to carry forward Haring’s spirit: one that pulses with inclusivity, and the transformative power of public art.
Keith Haring was an iconic American artist and social activist known for his vibrant, graffiti-inspired art and his ability to merge fine art with street culture. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, and raised in Kutztown, he developed a passion for drawing at an early age. He later studied at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City, where he immersed himself in the city’s dynamic art scene. Haring gained recognition in the early 1980s for his chalk drawings in subway stations, characterized by bold lines, energetic shapes, and universal symbols. His work often addressed themes of social justice, love, life, and death, as well as issues such as AIDS awareness, apartheid, and the nuclear arms race. He achieved international fame, collaborating with artists like Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat while maintaining his connection to public art through large-scale murals and community projects. Haring’s legacy endures through the Keith Haring Foundation, which supports children’s programs and AIDS-related organizations, and through his art, which continues to inspire new generations.
A Gilded Vision JUAN GATTI
In a monumental series of murals for Faena New York , Juan Gatti masterfully intertwines the city’s iconic landmarks, Art Deco elegance, and Faena’s iconic symbols into a shimmering églomisé masterpiece.
New York becomes Juan Gatti’s latest canvas in a monumental, site-specific mural for The Living Room at Faena New York, created in collaboration with Faena. Iconic city landmarks meet art deco motifs emblematic of its architecture, intertwined with signature Faena elements, such as the prowling panther, a guardian of mystery and power, and layered with hidden symbols that invite discovery. Celebrated for the tropicalia-inspired, floral murals that adorn the Cathedral at Faena Miami Beach, Gatti now turns his unmistakable lens to a new urban landscape. Crafted using the églomisé techinique of hand applied gold, silver, and brass leaf to the reverse side of glass, these finished guilded mirrors radiate grandeur, offering a rich layered vision of New York both galmorous and symbolic.
Juan Gatti is a designer, photographer, and art director known for his influential work in graphic design, particularly in the fields of fashion, advertising, and film. Ballet of Light SEBASTIAN ERRÁZURIZ
El Secreto is the precious jewel of Faena New York , a hidden salon and exclusive bar, quietly concealed behind an unmarked door on the hotel’s second floor. This intimate speakeasy evokes mystery and indulgence in equal measure creating an atmosphere of opulence, seduction, and discovery.
Tucked behind an unmarked door lies El Secreto, a seductive speakeasy featuring artwork by artist Sebastian Errázuriz. At the heart of the space, Errázuriz’s pièce de résistance takes form: an avant-garde disco ball. This mirrored sculpture slowly revolves like a fractured iceberg, casting a mesmerizing mosaic of glowing shapes across the six-seat bar and sinuous banquettes in a hypnotic ballet of light and shadow. As guests find themselves mirrored within this exclusive space, their own reflections become part of the artwork—reminding us that the subjects we contemplate today will structure the super intelligence shaping our tomorrow. Dualities in Gold and Ruby CYNTHIA COHEN
In a new series of works by Cythia Cohen, Suspended Universes appeals to our curiosity, intuition and a sense of playfulness.
Cynthia Cohen’s four captivating works explore themes of duality and connection through distinct but intertwined elements. Día and Noche are richly detailed compositions adorned with gleaming golden jewelry, capturing the shifting moods of light and shadow. In these pieces, gold serves as both material and metaphor, transforming precious objects into luminous narratives of day and night. In contrast, Mar and Tierra depict vivid red rubies seemingly floating within ethereal landscapes, evoking the dynamic tension and harmony between sea and earth. The fiery gems symbolize the vitality of the land and the depth of the ocean, inviting viewers into a meditative space where color, texture, and symbolism converge. Together, these four works form the series of Suspended Universes, with references to Surrealism, Cohen weaves a poetic exploration of nature’s cycles and the interplay of light, matter and emotion.
Cynthia Cohen is a prominent visual artist. She graduated from the Escuela Nacional Prilidiano Pueyrredón and further honed her skills under the mentorship of Laura Batkis, Pablo Suárez, and Marcia Schwartz. Cohen’s work is deeply rooted in Pop Art, often characterized by the depiction of naturalistically rendered animals and oversized jewelry pieces. Her compositions blend humor with unsettling elements, drawing from Argentina’s rich artistic heritage and her interest in kitsch. Throughout her career, Cohen has showcased her art in numerous solo and group exhibitions both domestically and internationally. Notable exhibitions include Sin Palabras at Centro Cultural Recoleta in 2008, Futuro Brillante at Galería Van Riel in 2016, and Bomba de Brillo at Museo Marco in 2020.

OPENING SPRING 2026
Inspired by Europe’s grand opera houses and the glittering allure of Old New York, the gilded cabaret-theater showcases ambitious artistic productions, intimate concerts and original cabaret performances.
La Mirada ANDRÉS REISINGER
La Mirada is an immersive installation composed of hundreds of digitally isolated and redrawn eyes taken from classical paintings spanning the Renaissance to the 20th century.
Removed from their original contexts and presented together, these illustrated eyes form a collective gaze that transforms visitors into both observers and subjects, bridging centuries of art with New York ’s contemporary pulse. Evoking the charged glances of 1920s Buenos Aires tango salons, the work channels the city’s energy of observation, where every exchanged look holds the promise of a story. Printed across the iconic red curtains of the Faena Theater, these watchful eyes turn the venue into an instant landmark and social media magnet, making the architecture itself a participant in the ritual of looking and being seen. Complementing this immersive experience, Andrés Reisinger’s mural in the theater foyer embodies the profound cosmology and rich symbolism at the heart of the Faena ethos. Through a visionary blend of imagery and form, the artwork explores themes of connection, transformation, and the cyclical nature of existence. Each element invites contemplation, offering a visual narrative that resonates with Faena’s spirit, where culture, art, and hospitality converge to create meaningful, immersive experiences.
Andrés Reisinger is an award-winning digital artist, designer, and entrepreneur known for his dreamlike, surreal 3D creations that blend digital and physical realities. Originally from Argentina, he gained international recognition for his innovative approach to digital art, particularly in the realm of NFTs, collectible design pieces, and virtual spaces. Reisinger’s work often explores themes of nostalgia, minimalism, and the intersection of art and technology. His signature style features soft, ethereal textures, pastel color palettes, and sculptural forms that evoke both familiarity and fantasy. He has collaborated with renowned brands such as Moooi, Cassina, and Rimowa, and his work has been exhibited in prestigious galleries and museums worldwide. A pioneer in digital design, Reisinger made headlines with his “The Shipping” NFT collection, where he sold virtual furniture pieces that could be placed in 3D-rendered environments or, in some cases, produced as physical objects. His work continues to push the boundaries of art, design, and the metaverse, shaping the future of how we experience digital aesthetics in both virtual and real-world spaces.

Faena Art proudly marks its dynamic grand debut into New York City with amaze vogue ascend flourish, an extraordinary exhibition by the visionary collective assume vivid astro focus
BROUGHT TO YOU BY
Celebrating the 20 th anniversary of their groundbreaking Roller Rink installation at Central Park during the Whitney Biennale, this landmark collaboration transforms Faena New York into a vibrant stage where art, performance, and public space converge. As the first of many activations planned for the city, this immersive experience invites the community to engage with AVAF ’s colorful, kinetic world through complimentary skate rentals, daily DJ sets, live performances, and culinary pop-ups. Radiant and alive with energy, amaze vogue ascend flourish reimagines the roller rink as more than just a place to skate—it becomes a living archive celebrating movement, memory, and joy. Drawing from New York’s ever-evolving creative spirit—its artists, dancers, designers, and dreamers—this installation channels the vibrant legacy of West Chelsea and the Meatpacking District, neighborhoods steeped in artistic history and self-expression. Just across the street once stood the legendary Roxy, where roller disco and nightlife collided in an iconic cultural celebration; today, the rink rekindles that same rhythm, honoring the city’s resilience, radical joy, and expressive freedom. Set at the crossroads of the neighborhoods, the rink transforms public space into a canvas for storytelling, connection, and reinvention. Adding to the festive atmosphere, guests can savor culinary pop-ups by world-renowned chef Francis Mallmann and the innovative Bronx-based collective Ghetto Gastro —bringing bold flavors that fuse storytelling, fire, and culture.
Since 2014, Faena Art has brought roller rink activations to life across Buenos Aires and Miami, redefining the rink as a joyful, artistic, and community-centered environment. This New York edition is the most expansive yet—a multisensory celebration of music, movement, cuisine, and culture where everyone is welcome. No tickets, no barriers—just roll up and experience art in motion. This marks only the beginning of Faena Art ’s vibrant journey in the city, promising many more moments of creativity and connection to come.
assume vivid astro focus was founded by Eli Sudbrack in 2001. Sudbrack began working with Christophe Hamaide Pierson in 2005 as a duo that often morphs into a collective, depending on the projects they are involved in. AVAF works in a vast array of media, including painting, drawing, installations, video, sculpture, neon, wallpaper, decals, and often confronts gender, politics and embedded cultural codes through pop imagery and neon colors. AVAF’s work was part of the 28º Sao Paulo Biennial (2008), the first Athens Biennial curated by Xenia Kalpaktsoglou, Poka-Yio and Augustine Zenakos (2007), and the Whitney Biennial at the Whitney Museum of American Art (2004).
