GOURMET BEGINNINGS Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea & Spa has a new culinary master in the kitchen… CHEF EDUARDO BRONTE, THE gourmet expert, recently joined the talented Kitchen team at Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea & Spa as Executive Sous Chef. He has already left guests impressed with his exceptional culinary skills and the art of topclass gastronomy. Chef Eduardo Bronte, originally from Amazon, Brazil, is a seasoned chef with Brazilian and International cuisines being his speciality. He has previously worked for prestigious properties, such as, Fairmont, Waldorf Astoria, Grand Hyatt among others. With 20 years of experience under his belt, he started his career in the culinary field in Amazon and has successfully worked in 5-star hotels around the world, including stints in Hawaii, most of Europe, North and South America as well as the Middle East. Having travelled several cities around the world, he has been able to improve his knowledge of gastronomic culture and arts. Chef Eduardo is also the proud founder of the Brazilian fine dining BBQ al-fresco concept; where the meat is suspended and cooked mid-air with live cooking stations that are open for guests to interact with chefs for a more personalised session and unique dishes. Egypt, Chef Eduardo moved to Sofitel Bahrain in July 2019 and is focused on offering unique culinary experiences to the guests that leave memorable impressions. Chef Eduardo says, “I have always been committed in pursuit of development, welfare and harmonization in the gastronomic field and have been able to use the balance to constantly elevate the guests’ experience.” He has the distinct honour of preparing special dinners during his career for top VIPs, such as, UK Prime Minister, Tony Blair, football legends, Ronaldo, Neymar, Mohammed Salah, along with plenty of international stars and has established himself as a true icon in the field of speciality, 5-star fare.
