What are your three favourite things about the month of Ramadan in Bahrain? I love feeling the sense of tradition, seeing families come together to enjoy spending time with us in the hotel and joining friends for Iftar or Ghabga around the city.
Your tips for enjoying the month of Ramadan... Embrace the solemnity of Ramadan and take the opportunity to learn from Bahraini friends and colleagues the significance of the Holy Month. Be respectful of local traditions and take time to indulge with friends in the various activities and dining experiences around Bahrain. Ramadan is a time for all to give thanks and show generosity to those less fortunate, participation in this is key to gaining fully from the experience, we here at the Crowne Plaza make a contribution for every Iftar guest to a local charity. Take the time to share good times with friends and enjoy a more relaxed pace of life.

What are some of your favourite traditional food items to eat in Ramadan? I love the presentation of the Iftar and Ghabga buffets that are abundant in the city. Local produce is excellent in Bahrain and I like to indulge in the Ouzi, healthy local salads and my particular weakness is our Chef ’s house made Hummous. want to be anywhere but at “home” - with Four Seasons attention and care.
Where will you most likely spend your Iftar and Ramadan evenings? Last year was our first Ramadan tent experience here in Bahrain, although I was used to Ramadan from my Saudi Arabian days. This year our Ramadan tent will be even more refined and will be a special place to enjoy both Iftar and Ghabga, so you will find me most nights right here in our own Four Seasons Ramadan tent.

Tips for people to make the most of enjoying Ramadan in Bahrain... Enjoy the company of good friends and family during this time. Ramadan should be a time to also be thankful for what we have and to share our good fortune with those less fortunate. We will share our Ramadan tent with several groups this season as we did last year for our CSR partners.
