EXTENSION EDUCATION

PROGRAM OVERVIEW The After School Program at Dallas International School is structured in two semesters of 16 weeks each, covering the period from the beginning to the end of the school year. • Enrollment for the 2024 spring semester of afterschool activities will open on January 1st. To enroll your child, please log onto your BBTM Smart Tuition account. As you scroll down the list of activities, you will notice that only those activities that are still available will show. Classes that are full will not show. •

Enrollment for regular afterschool care is done by sending an email to : cwafterschool@dallasinternationalschool.org

The costs for each activity are detailed in the schedules that you will find in this catalog. All activities are subject to change depending on enrollment. Waterview students have the possibility of signing up for Circus. However, this activity takes place at the Churchill campus. A shuttle service is available to transfer the enrolled students from the Waterview campus to the Churchill campus. Parents will have to pick-up their children at Churchill at the end of the activity. CHURCHILL CAMPUS PROGRAM FOR MATERNELLE (EARLY CHILDHOOD) STUDENTS Our after-school program for Maternelle students is a package program of activities and childcare. Every student in grade PS/EC3 and MS/EC4 will have a different activity from 3:00-4:00 pm each day. The students enrolled in this program can stay in childcare until 6pm without any additional cost. The cost of the program is $130 per week, when signed up for this option, or $30 per day for drop-in.

Art classes allow kids a rich learning experience while having fun. Students’ progress through the elements of art such as line, color, shape to create masterpieces and encourage their creativity. They will use a wide range of quality art materials. They will develop fine motor skills, language, cognitive skills, and the ability to listen and follow directions. The children will convey ideas, express emotion, use their senses, explore colors, and create aesthetically pleasing works and experiences. The classes will be conducted in English & French.

This class aims at developing kids’ natural innate movement patterns such as crawling, walking, jumping, climbing, lifting, carrying, throwing, catching, balancing, walking, running. Your child will have fun, but they will also gain self-confidence, agility and they will establish solid and efficient movement patterns that are the foundation of any specified physical activity such soccer, football, tennis, gym martial art. As for their brain development, practicing natural movement is a way to reinforce sensitive perception, proprioception, intellectual awareness, and reflexes. Class will be taught in French, which will enable students to practice their language skills.

Cindy CE2-CM1 Crazy 8s is a math club unlike any other! It offers Jackson 3rd-4th unique, high-energy math activities that appeal to kids of all math abilities. The club offers a range of materials to handle a wide range of abilities, even among kids in the same grade.
