EDITOR’S NOTE

PAMELA Joy EstoniloLumagbas’ journey reminds us that grit isn’t just about pushing through—it’s about rising with purpose. From sleepless nights to stolen dreams, Pamela faced hardships that could have broken her spirit. But with fierce love for her family and an unshakable belief in herself, she turned trials into stepping stones, never letting failure define her. Her story is a hug to every struggling mom, a whisper saying, “You’ve got this.”

Her story also reflects a larger truth: e-commerce is reshaping the path to prosperity. No longer a mere side hustle, it’s a platform where the bold—and the brave—can thrive. Pamela’s rise is not just an entrepreneurial success; it’s a reminder that in today’s digital world, heart and hustle are the new currency.

Pamela Joy EstoniloLumagbas’ Journey to E-Commerce Success

PAMELA’S journey from devoted mother to thriving entrepreneur is a testament to the power of faith, love, and determination. Her story began with uncertainty—but what makes it different is how she rose from it.

When the pandemic struck in 2020, life changed overnight. Her husband, a freelance dancer and Zumba instructor, lost his income. With two children and extended family to support, Pamela became the sole breadwinner.

“Everything changed so suddenly. I was the only one earning for our family, but I knew it wasn’t enough,” she recalls. The pressure was suffocating. But instead of giving in to fear, she found strength in resolve.

Determined to provide a better life, Pamela ventured into e-commerce. “I had no idea how to start, but I knew I had to learn. So, I enrolled in courses—even though it was a big investment. I just told my husband, 'Trust me, I can do this.'”

He initially struggled with the shift. “He wondered how I became the one earning. But I told him, 'This is what we need to do for our family.'”

Juggling a full-time virtual assistant job, motherhood, and late-night crash courses, Pamela often ran on just two hours of sleep. She packed orders while rocking a baby. Her husband eventually embraced their new setup and became her delivery man, bringing Samgyupsal grill sets and other items straight to customers’ doors.

On platforms like Lazada, response rate is everything. Pamela never let a notification slide. Every customer mattered—because every order meant survival.

From Breakthrough to Betrayal

Eventually, her hard work paid off. Through grit and grace, Pamela’s store took off. She hit a milestone—earning P100,000 in a single day. “I told my husband, ‘Trust me more—this business has huge potential.’”

They built a real team, hiring for HR, finance, and logistics. Around the same time, they found a product gap in the market: solar-powered outdoor lights. “We were the only ones offering the hybrid type.”

But as the business soared, betrayal struck.

Some trusted staff were in cahoots—manipulating records, stealing products, and eventually building a company of their own behind Pamela’s back. Pamela was devastated. “It wasn’t just about the money. It was the betrayal. I treated them like family.”

That moment could have broken her. But instead, it became her turning point. “I cried. I questioned everything. But I remembered why I started—my family.”

Building a Business That Lasts

Pamela wasn’t alone, though. An angel in her life, Leanne, someone she only used to idolize and now her best friend, provided the financial backing she needed to jumpstart her business again. And her mentor, e-commerce trainer Nani Razon, shared a key piece of advice that gave her clarity: “Do you think that was the only time you’ll be betrayed? Do you think billionaires haven’t been betrayed over and over? Snap out of it, Pamela!”

True enough, it wasn’t the last time Pamela would be deceived.

Through trial and error, Pamela discovered a truth: success isn’t about quantity—it’s about quality. “I stopped chasing trends. I started chasing trust.”

“I still don’t have it all figured out,” she says. “But I didn’t give up. And because of that, our family stands stronger than ever.” 

A Tough Nut to Crack

BUILDING a business from the ground up is no easy feat, but for Pamela, the CEO behind RZ Ecommerce Corporation, every challenge became a stepping stone toward success.

“We started as a low-ticket item business,” Pamela recalls. “I wanted to create affordable, effective products that could help not only my family but also the community.” With unwavering dedication and a commitment to quality, the business slowly gained the trust of customers, a reflection of Pamela’s core values—strength, love, and perseverance.

But success was never handed to her on a silver platter. Slow payouts, tight cash flow, and even betrayal from former employees put Pamela’s resilience to the test. One particularly painful experience nearly wiped out everything she had worked for, leaving her with no income and no support. “It felt like the end,” she admits. “But I realized setbacks are part of the journey. Our mentor, Sir Nani, reminded me that even billionaires face failures.”

Determined not to let adversity define her, Pamela chose

to rebuild from the ground up. She sought training to regain her confidence and, with the financial support of a trusted friend, restarted her business. Her perseverance paid off, proving that even the toughest moments can lead to new beginnings.

At the heart of RZ Ecommerce Corporation is Pamela’s leadership philosophy: empathy and care. Her company is built on the mission of giving “aruga”—the Filipino term for genuine care—to every family through their products. “We envision every Filipino household carrying at least one of our products,” she shares. This philosophy extends beyond

customers to her 48 employees across ten departments. From the way they interact with clients to something as simple as how they close a door, kindness and respect are embedded in every action. To them, every customer is family.

Lending a Hand

Pamela’s commitment to helping others goes beyond business. Through her company, she has supported various charitable initiatives, including aid for young victims of abuse. She firmly believes that giving should not stop just because the business faces difficulties. “The blessings we pray for should also be shared with others,” she says.

RZ Ecommerce Corporation has become more than just a business; it is an extension of Pamela’s compassion and dedication to making a difference. From sleepless nights to leading a thriving enterprise, her journey is nothing short of inspiring.

As Pamela’s story proves, leadership isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about showing up, learning, and lifting others as you rise.

What started as a small idea has transformed into a multimillion-peso business, leaving a trail of inspiration for those daring enough to chase their own dreams. 
