Our Love Story
It was the spring of 2006 and as fate would have it that Yandy and Mendeecees would meet by chance in Miami. Although the two had connections to Harlem through mutual friends and family their paths hadn’t crossed until that day. One of Yandy’s artists invited Mendeecees to a booking in Miami. Despite the fact that Mendeecees’ ties to the artist weren’t incredibly strong, he decided to go on this trip anyway. All of the artists and guests were staying at the beautiful Shore Club and that set the stage for the two to finally meet. When Mendeecees, first saw Yandy, he thought she was beautiful and he loved that she was about her business. When Yandy first saw Mendeecees she thought he was good-looking, quite reserved and quiet, but was cautious because she had never mixed business with pleasure. Nonetheless, the two decided independently to stay back from the club that night, they began talking, walking on the beach, dinner, and the rest is history …
