To acknowledge and appreciate motherhood, I illustrated the two most prominent animals that takes the role of a mother most seriously in wildlife: a bird and a hippopotamus. To show aggressiveness for protection yet an elegant pose for its beauty, I connected the two animals tail by tail to symbolize motherhood as a whole, as well as, the “bird’s eye view” as one of their tails, to represent the all seeing eye of a mother figure.
