THE TALKING TYRANT CONVERSATION ETIQUETTE
Could social media be fueling a rise in conversational narcissism? Have we become so accustomed to expressing our views without interruption, without engaging in face-to-face interactions, that we ' ve forgotten the essence of a meaningful conversation? Perhaps some individuals need to cultivate better listening skills or are naturally more inclined to dominate discussions. We've all likely encountered someone who tends to monopolize conversations, leaving us pondering how to navigate these situations with grace and finesse. By incorporating some gentle conversation etiquette, we can strive to strike a balance between listening and speaking.
Here are a few tips to help guide you on this journey of fostering more balanced conversations:
Evaluate your talking/listening style by reflecting on recent interactions and honestly assessing the topics covered. Practice active listening without mentally preparing responses while the other person is speaking.
Respect the conversational flow by refraining from interrupting and waiting for your turn to speak.
Embrace pauses to filter your thoughts and speak thoughtfully, avoiding saying things you may regret.
Exercise discretion in sharing personal details, especially with acquaintances or colleagues.
Acknowledge that conversations involve listening as well as expressing opinions, encouraging respectful dialogue even in disagreement.
These tips aim to enhance our communication skills and combat the dominance of excessive talking. This all reinforcers more meaningful and balanced conversations. And, certainly helping to build stronger friendships and realtio.

Travel Etiquette
WrittenbyRebeccaFerraro
As a frequent traveler, I've noticed some things that can disrupt others' travel. First and most importantly, is to be kind. Delayed flights, long lines, and missing luggage can make anyone irritated and angry. Remember that other travelers feel this way, too. The person waiting on you, at the counter, or the computer is not at fault. A smile, some empathy, and friendliness will go a long way. The person you’re working with is far more likely to help you resolve the issue if you’re not breathing down their neck, being obnoxious, or using foul language.

Finally, remember that you’ll reach your destination; being angry and unruly won’t help you get there faster. Start conversations and learn about different locations, landmarks, and customs.
