Será um ótimo complemento à minha formação”, avalia, empolgado.

Nascida e criada no Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Mariana estudou no Colégio Palas desde a quinta série do Ensino Fundamental até o segundo ano do ensino Médio. Foi bolsista por mérito nos dois últimos anos, por ter conquistado quarto e terceiro lugar geral. No terceiro ano, transferiu-se para o Colégio Roquette, com o objetivo de preparar-se para a seleção do IME. Na primeira tentativa, não obteve colocação para ser aprovada como reservista, categoria para a qual era destinado um número de vagas quatro vezes menor que para a ativa. Como não tinha interesse em seguir a carreira militar, resolveu tentar mais uma vez, no ano seguinte, passando em quinto lugar. Ao
Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Mariana studied at Colégio Palas between 2nd grade and the penultimate year of high school. During her last two years at Palas, she received merit scholarships due to her high rank in the class. For her senior year, she transferred to Colégio Roquette in order to better prepare for the entrance examination at the Military Institute of Engineering (IME). On her first try, she didn’t earn a sufficiently high score to qualify as a reservist, for which far fewer spots were offered. As she lacked interest in embarking on a military career, she decided to try again the following year. This time, she got the fifth highest score. After her first two
