BIOGRAPHY:!

Ester Maria Negretti, 1978, Como. !

Repeating in our small "workshop" the same process that nature implements in the universe - in other words, leaving the field open to new experiences, new combinations of materials which unite and separate themselves as in chemical reactions - is the most interesting feature of Ester Maria Negretti’s artistic creation. Surrounded by gray and looming architecture of a small provincial town, she demolishes and reconstructs, making the matter epidermis.!

After graduating at the ITIS of Como, following the good tradition of the Renaissance she works in expert painters’ studios to learn their secrets.!

Since she was very young, she participated in numerous competitions, among which we remember:!

2012 Combat Award Finalist Prize; awarded at the Bice Bugatti Prize;!

2010 wins the Brambati Prize;!

2008 invited to the La Fenice et des Artistes Prize, Venice;!

2006 she wins the 2nd Carlo Zorza Prize 2006, Milan;!

2005 finalist for the Arte Mondadori Prize.!

After working in different studies of textile design, from 2005 she devoted herself entirely to painting.!
