Revamp Your Style Naaz Sheikh, the founder of Headrush Salon, who is also a hair stylist, accompanied by Ngalashing, who is a celebrity nail technician talks to us about the salon and enhancing your beauty this season. Tell us something about yourself as an individual? I have been a hairstylist for about 12 years now. It all started in Mumbai for me. After completing my hairstyling course, I interned at Juice salon and worked there for quite a long time from 2005. I also worked at places like Kolkata and Pune before coming to Hyderabad. Tell us about how did you start off with Head Rush? I came to Hyderabad in 2008, while working with Juice salon. But my sister and wife insisted that I open my own salon and it is they who encouraged me to strive in this direction. And I also have always wanted to have my own salon, so, I started arranging for things to open my place and fortunately I got to do that 2 years ago. And today I’m the proud owner of Head Rush. How has your journey been in this field? My journey in hairstyling and in the hair and beauty business in particular has been a complete bliss. It has been great. Couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Tell us your story related to your career? Actually I got pushed into hairstyling by my sister. It was my sister who encouraged me to join the course and then gradually I fell in love with it. It a very creative field. You are free to experiment. That is what I love about it. Tell us about the trending nail art and hairstyles one shall look forward to in 2016? I believe people should possess their own style that should represent them. It is all about who you want to be and how you want to look. Don’t go with the crowd, be yourself! What do your client’s love the most at headrush salon? Our salon is known for two of our specialities, hairstyling and nail art. All our staff are highly qualified and mostly come from Mumbai. How do you manage your work and personal life? To be honest, it was quite easy in the early days of my career but it has
been quite hectic with Head Rush since I have to manage a lot but I have the best support team with me, who help me in every aspect. What are the services one can opt for at Headrush salon? We currently provide, hair, nail and beauty services. we are using world class products for hair - MOROCCANOIL, TIGI, LOREAL, KERATIN, SCHWARZKOPF etc. For nails - OPI and much more, Beauty- O3, JANSEN etc. How is your usual day at work? Well, first I get up, go to the gym, have my breakfast and head to work. Then once there, it’s all about appointments. There is no specific time for appointments. Each of our clients receives treatment according to their need; hence we make sure we take our time. Then once done, back home and prepare for next day. What is your next step, in terms of your work? Next step is obviously to open more salons across the city. And hopefully across India. But my current focus is to break into the top most leagues of salons in Hyderabad.
