The viaduct over the water route Teltowkanal in Berlin/Germany is the first railway bridge implementing the VFT construction method with integral abutments. By now this construction method established by SSF Ingenieure became the state-of-the-art in the design of slender bridges crossing existing traffic routes (see pp. 23–30).
