Sustainability As of the end of 2013 Omran has channelled over 12 million Omani Riyals to contractors and suppliers for the design and construction of the resort, including 237,049 Omani Riyals for design (Archgroup), 10,466,682 Omani Riyals as part of the joint-venture with the local contractor (Group 5 - Al Ansari) for building the main hotel, 708,870 Omani Riyals for the construction of staff accommodation, 482,000 Omani Riyals for FF&E in the main hotel and staff accommodation, 105,595 Omani Riyals for IT works, and 176,474 Omani Riyals for the desalination plant. In addition, an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) was undertaken to ensure that the project is in compliance with the most rigorous environmental standards and the hotel will qualify for LEED Silver Accreditation from the United States Green Building Council. Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) During 2013, the hotel construction achieved 2 million man hours without lost time injury (LTI).
