Dear Community Members,

In 2013, The House of Manna, Bread of Life Church started the Women’s Making A Difference Conference here in the Ft. Knox, Ky 1 area. However, the outpour for the conference grew so great that an outroar rang out for us to do it for more than just Women and thus the “Making A Difference (MAD) Conference” was born. This conference seeks to enlighten, educate and empower men, women and youth of the community to Make A Difference in one’s self, their home, their community and their world.

The mission of the “Making A Difference Conference” is to unify the community by bringing together Leaders and members of the community in Business, Government, Education, Arts and Entertainment, Family Services, Religion, and Media to work together in helping everyone find their purpose. Deep in our Spirits, we see a vision of a community thriving and excelling in all points of life and being an example to the world of the benefits of doing life God’s way. We believe in family, community and that it takes a village to raise a child and therefore, we are seeking to engage our community to work together in the development of its citizens to include all the children in our community. This may come by encouragement, investment or for the most part a loving and caring concern for people and their plight in life and an effort to expose them to the world of opportunities available to them. Once exposed, we hope to fill them with a desire to ask where they fit in and push their hopes to a point of igniting the spark that will make a difference in their life to passionately pursue that goal and set the world on fire for God.

Proceeds from this event will be donated to handle conference costs for the travel, rooming and per diem of the out of town participants and all other monies will go to the local community to help support Open Doors Ministry, Hardin County School Youth Service Centers, Radcliff North Hardin Ministerial Association (RNHMA) and its campaign to donate supplies and resources to the education system to help youth with needs, the Community Scholarship Program that seeks to provide assistance to youth in the community pursuing a career in Robotics, the Brother to Brother Male mentorship program that works with young men in grades fifth to twelfth to better their English, Math and personal relation skills, Hardin County Beautiful Christian Allstars Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Basketball Team, that affords youth around the community and surrounding area an opportunity to showcase their gifts and encourage the community through basketball and last but not least the Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets delivered for families of North Hardin High School by Alpha Omega Sigma, Fort Knox Chapter, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., and the Nu Beta Zeta Chapter, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. These kind community members that Minister Linda and Pastor Marcus Dixon are a part of, not only helped family members with Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets, but assisted in serving the holiday meal to the students of North Hardin High School (NHHS). These organizations mentor the students of NHHS through community service and monthly mentoring groups.

To ensure this project is a success we are asking members of the community to partner with us to help ensure the success of the conference. Your support can come in a number of ways. We are always seeking sponsors, volunteers, resources, ad purchases, equipment, contributions of monies and/or prizes and prayerfully your participation by attending, speaking and/or teaching at this event. We welcome and truly look forward to you and your organization partnering with us in this endeavor to empower the citizens of our community and to be a part of those committed to Make A Difference!

Sincerely,

Linda Dixon

Marcus Dixon Pastor & Assistant Chairman House of Manna, Bread of Life Church Host of Speaking on the Issues of Life

Beloved Brothers and Sisters in Christ, we welcome you in the joy and gladness of Jesus the Christ to this year’s Making A Difference Conference. Praise, preaching, teaching, fellowship, food, fun and empowerment is awaiting and will be released as we come together on one accord and lift God, and search for His holy manifestation.

God has heard the prayers, seen the fasting and faithfulness of the Saints in our community, and our friends across the Nation, and around the world, and He has blessed this years’ conference to be one for the family. We are asking everyone to please diligently seek God this weekend and commit to getting to know the family through Love, Unity, Fellowship, Care, Concern and Compassion for the Body of Christ.

We pray that as you let go and let God have His way, that you depart this mountaintop experience enthused, enlightened and empowered to return to your communities and be a major part in “Making A Difference”

Lovingly, Your Servants in Christ, Pastor Marcus & First Lady Linda Dixon
