PVHS Honors The Best Of The Class Of 2019 By Ann Mead Ash

On May 9, Pequea Valley High School (PVHS) showed appreciation to the highestranked students from the Class of 2019 by inviting seniors with the highest grade point averages, along with their parents, to gather for recognition and refreshments. The event, known as the Best of the Class of 2019, was opened by assistant principal Amy Koberstein. Addressing the students, she said, “As soon-to-be PVHS grads … you have been conditioned to know that there are countless ways to find success, which is both attainable and achievable by anyone who sets goals and works to achieve those goals.” Koberstein went

on to encourage the group, saying, “I hope you continue to … maintain the belief that your path should not and will not be traveled the same way as the path of your peers. I could not be prouder of the accomplishments that you have made.” Richard Eby, assistant to the superintendent for Pequea Valley School District (PVSD), spoke to the students specifically concerning the district’s Mass Customized Learning (MCL) program. “We are five years down this journey of trying to transform what traditional education has looked like for our learners,” Eby shared. He told the students, “Be proud of what you have been able to accomplish with MCL. You are going on to do greater things as you See Best Of The Class pg 7

For the educational program, the group has entered into in partnership with J. E. Fritz Elementary
