Marketing: To include liaising with PR and other suppliers, updating the website, mailing plan, in house print, statistics, and fielding marketing enquiries in the absence of the director. Updating and using social networking sites.

Between now and early January 2014, we need extra help in our distribution centre in Kendal. Our distribution team are responsible for picking and despatching stock against very tight deadlines for our home shopping department, our 64 retail stores throughout the UK and our overseas franchised stores. These are manual jobs, therefore you need to be able to reach and bend to pick items from shelving and pallets. You need to be conscientious and accurate, with good maths abilities and basic keyboard skills. You should be self-motivated as well as a good team player and be able to work under pressure in a fast moving environment. Roles involve operating order picking machines however full training will be given so no previous experience is required.

General Admin: Phone response and some reservation sales, communicating between departments, assisting management and owners with administration, filing and correspondence, filling and arranging clippings and past promotional print. The successful applicant will be very competent in the use of a PC, using Word, Excel, Outlook software and email. Excellent command of accurate English, both written and verbal essential; UK geographic knowledge, accurate administrative & communication skills; excellent telephone manner. Sound knowledge of social networking sites and be confident using the web.

Contracts available are: • Part-time 32 hours over 4 full days including 1 weekend day each week • Part-time 16 hours over 1 weekday and 1 weekend day, or 2 weekend days each week. • Part-time 35 hours, nights on a 4 on 4 off rota system Day shifts are operational between 7am - 11pm every day, apart from Sunday (currently 7am - 7pm). Your days and hours of work will be rota’d to include late and early shifts and we will require 6am starts as we get busier. Night shifts operate between 8.30pm - 7am over 4 nights, on a 4 on and 4 off rota. Due to the nature of the equipment used, applicants need to be over 18 years of age and be available to attend a pre–employment medical examination.
