Hello, I´m Emma
experimental futures and have thus been following your work, I have seen instagram. I am a student of scenography in Germany am currently researching Since I find your approach to the field very interesting and as I think an collective futures in unsure times, I have decided to give the application direction- we learn about how to give character, a story or a function to a exhibition design or another topic. To say it short we learn the room strategies atmospheric room, which I am very passionate about. During a late project speculative project wich I particullary enjoyed. Contribution to MS Dockville Festvial 2024
Voluntary project for the Dockville Artville Festival 2024 in Hamburg. The Project consisted of making 4 tire seats, a custom table and decorating the seating area with rope/light. The MS Dockville festival in Hamburg, Germany since 2007 which celebrates art and music.

The Maze
Discotheque in an usb stick
The usb stick- an object used for transferring and saving data.“The Maze“- a place for communication and socializing. In the Maze components of the usb stick are translateted into spaces. Circuits that can be seen on a usb chip turn into a ground sketch. The people going through the Maze represent the stream of data- thus becoming a part of the space.

The different LED colours represent the different areas. Majority of the seeating is located in the blue area- colour of relaxation. The red area colour of action for comoting thorugh, plus the closet is located here. The two colours join together to a fully lit purple room at the end of the disco.

Society 2050 - a short film
For this Project we find ourselves in the City Kiel in 2050. Based on the scenario „Netzland“ from the Book „Spekulation Transformation“ by Matthias Böttger, Stefan Carsten and Ludwig Engel, Germany has transformed into a financially safe country which bundles its citizens in „net cities“. (My interpretation:) Here large companies control most of the infrastrcuture of the city which causes an uneven distribution of ressources between the richer „inner net“ and the „outer net“. Thus mostly young people flee from the strict net structures to cities, which are not connected to the net. There they intend to live a self suffiecient life withouth having to depend on corrupt structures .

Comes from wealthy family in the „inner net“
family buisness controls a large part of the electrical infrastucture of the city
Learns that his family buisness is at fault for destroying small towns to make place for energy saving stations which is sold to make more profit
„Outnets“ himself to distance himself from his families ambitions, which are one source of the curroptness in the net.
Lost her home and was forced to move to the outer Net of Hamburg
her village torn down and turned into watersresorvoirs and wind farms
„outernet citizen“, faces discrimination and low chances of advancement
Full „supernet“ cities are challenged with all the „refugees“ like her moving or who are forced to move from smaller towns into the net.

See-Bridge - Sculpture
The Idea was to create an organic sculpture which represents organic living in the sea. There are spaces beweteen the layers to produce a noce light play on sunny days.The layers also create stairs and sitting oppurtunities. The scale of the to be used space is 20mx3,5mx15m.

Exhibition Design
This Exhibition inside and old barn tells the story of the content of a chest which where commonly found in these houses. Walking around the expanded chest placed in the middle of the barn, you gather information of its original, historical content. When entering the chest you are opposed with information and stories about peoples different amounts of possesion today and topics such as mass consumption.

The content of a chest typically owned by a farmers family in the 18th century are placed in the ground protected by thick glass to walk on. The boxes shine in the dimness of the exhibition, attracting and motivating the visitor to follow the boxes until the entrance of the chest

If you only had a wooden box to hold all you own, what would it contain?
In the Inside of the Chest the visitor can open its compartments to find hidden behind videos, stories about personal belongings and is confronted with information regarding todays excessive way one multiplies his possesions. Here the visitor is also asked to answer questions regarding his personal belongings.
