Recently launched, our Educational Stadium Tour Experiences are here to teach students the inner workings of a Premier League football club. Led by a trained guide, school groups will be toured around the Etihad Stadium paying special attention to areas that relate to their chosen subject. Each experience is carefully tailored to ensure it is suitable to each group.

Manchester City Educational Stadium Tour Experience MATCH REPORT
We recreate the excitement of an iconic match so your pupils can take the role of a sports journalist – right where the professionals do it on a matchday. Aligned to the English National Curriculum, the students will take a tour of the stadium focusing on the role of the media on a matchday. The tour will end in the press conference room, where the pupils will watch a highlights package of an iconic Manchester City Match. Using a range of questioning techniques, the pupils will prepare questions and answers related to moments in the match they have just watched and then interview each other where the real players are interviewed on a matchday.
Teachers can record the interviews on school tablets to take back to school to refine and edit to keep a professional-looking keepsake.

Manchester City Educational Stadium Tour Experience DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FOOTBALLER
During the stadium tour, the class will learn about the schedule of a player on matchday, from the moment they wake up, through to going home, as well as learning about what they do to prepare on the days prior to a game and how they recover.
The trained tour guides will give the inside knowledge on preparation, fitness, diet, performance analysis, training and nutrition in areas that are used by the players.

This 90-minute tour explores some specific revenue streams, roles, and careers at the stadium, showing the many commercial aspects that operate alongside the big match.

Manchester City Educational Stadium Tour Experience URBAN REGENERATION
Focusing on the principles of regeneration using the Etihad Campus as a case study.
The presentation will tell the story of East Manchester and look at the site in detail throughout the decades, highlighting the different phases of regeneration. The experience includes a tour of the site followed by a 45-minute presentation.
With comprehensive lesson plans, worksheets, and accompanying PowerPoint slides, free resources are also provided to support learning before and after the visit.
