General Information

What’s the Buzz...

Dear Members,

It’s hard to believe that we are already beginning the second half of 2025. We’ve had more activities, trips, performances and presentations than most of the other senior centers around. When I’m visiting friends that belong to other senior centers, they are amazed at how much the SRAC offers! We do more in half a year than most of them do in a full year.

Starting in July we will be entering the time of year known as the Dog Days of Summer. Speaking of dogs, do you know that my dog Frankie can speak English? When I come home and ask him how his day was, he always has the same answer, RUFF! We will be venturing outside for a few activities such as bags, bocce, and even walking along the path. We also have air conditioning that keeps us cool when we are in the building. We have too many activities to mention all of them. However, I would like to thank Gina for initiating the Joe Hauser Educational series.

Finally, I’d like to thank the Advisory Board for their dedication to the SRAC. I know that this year’s board will continue our long line of talented, wonderful people. Simply put, the Advisory Board goes “Beyond the Expected.”

P.S. In honor of the Dog Days, I can’t resist the temptation to tell you one more dog joke. Where do dogs never go shopping? The flea market!

Here’s to good programs, good people and good times! Rod Marino Advisory Board President
