General Information

What’s the Buzz...

Dear Members,

The colorful autumn leaves adorning Elk Grove’s trees will soon fall and be replaced by cool breezes, but that does not affect the hardy members of the Sheila Ray Center. The schedule during these three months will be chock-full of events and activities. If you haven’t seen the SRAC at this time of the year, you won’t know what you’re missing. Try to attend as many activities as possible. I know some of you travel to the South for the winter to avoid the harsh weather. Do you know why birds fly south in the autumn? Because it’s faster than walking!

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of those wonderful people who visited, called, sent cards, or prayed for me when I was hospitalized for surgery on my neck. I’ve never received so much love from so many people. I’m sure your kindness helped make my recovery faster than expected. Thank you once again. Have you ever seen a skeleton at the hospital? I haven’t, and I’ve heard the reason is he has no guts! Soon we will be back in the holiday season, a season of love and friendship. I’d like to be the first to wish our members a happy holiday season. Good programs, good people and good times!
