These Individuals in my earnest opinion are running SHADOW AND COVERT SIGN CAMPAIGNS, as well as FACEBOOK, and INSTAGRAM Social Media Campaigns with History or Body of Work, they have NO content, NO Engagement of the Issues, NO points of reference, NO sweat equity, and NO following, they are repeatedly running for office under NEW Slogans, New Positions sought after, New Districts or Offices and even NEW faces but the same OLD BROKE REFERENCE AND REPRESENTATION, it is High time that we STOP these Unpolished, Unproven, and Unprepared. In Summation it's enough that we have ENOUGH PISS POOR REPRESENTAION IN PUBLIC OFFICE / REPRESENTATION already and can ill afford to take on WATER from Meaningless and UNQUALIFIED glory seekers, only to become (in their minds) Elected

As the school year continues, students are thriving in Dallas ISD’s newly renovated facilities, advanced scholastic programs, and flexible learning opportunities! Numerous schools within the district have delivered rapid engagement in athletics, student-led clubs, and careerbuilding opportunities this year. Students and staff are excited to continue the school year.

Athletic Highlights

On Tuesday, Sept. 13, E. B. Comstock Middle School took home an outstanding victory over rival Zumwalt in football. The community provided overwhelming support for the team and their win is hopefully a foreshadowing of what is to come for the remaining season.

Congratulations to South Oak Cliff High School for their explosive win on Friday, Sept. 16th, 2022! With a remarkable game-winning field goal by Diego Varela, the crowd erupted with excitement and cheer.

On Sept. 19, members of the community joined CityLab High School in celebration at Dallas City Hall for the school’s 5th Anniversary Exhibition. The exhibition displayed student projects and initiatives over the past five years. The projects included the Marilla Street Activation Project in Downtown Dallas, the City Lab Kiosk from

About Aunt Bette’s Food Pantry: St. Philip’s established a food pantry on its campus over a decade ago in an effort to expand its hunger programming outreach to include more families and children. The establishment of Our Community Pantry in 2015, was a direct result of an unprecedented collaboration between city, corporate, and non-profit entities, including St. Philip’s, North Texas Food Bank, In the City for Good, and the City of Dallas. This collaboration provided an opportunity to revolutionize the way Hunger is addressed in South Dallas, and beyond.

pantry continued to serve clients and provide emergency pick-up options to neighbors in need by pivoting from client-choice shopping to a drive-thru with pre-packaged groceries. Recently, the Community Pantry returned to the client-choice model, allowing shoppers to select their favorite items, much like a grocery store, and currently serves over 850 households, 1,750 individuals, and distributes 700,000 pounds of food annually!

(Dallas – TX, October 20, 2022) Aunt Bette’s Community Pantry at St. Philip’s School and Community Center is hosting Cookin’ with Aunt Bette. This live event will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm at Aunt Bette’s Community Pantry, named in honor of Bette Perot, a fierce advocate for hunger relief. The pantry is located at 1502 Pennsylvania Avenue, adjacent to St. Philip’s campus.

The second iteration of this biennial event will include presentations from key ambassadors and stakeholders of Aunt Bette’s Community Pantry; an unveiling of its expansion plans; and a live cooking demonstration and tasting led by Los Angeles-based Chef Gabrielle McBay, an alumnae of St. Philip’s. Aunt Bette’s currently serves over 850 South Dallas households. All clients in attendance and in the week following will receive recipe cards for the dishes served at the tasting, the chefs’ selected food items, and Aunt Bette’s reusable tote.

Meet Our Chef:

Chef Gabrielle McBay, a 2004 alum of St. Philip’s School, is from Dallas, TX, and now based in Los Angeles. With over ten years of experience in the culinary industry, her cooking style is soulful, contemporary, and chic with fresh everything. Gabrielle has been featured across notable media platforms including Food Network, Essence, Forbes, Black Enterprise and the New York Times. Her extensive resume details some of your favorite artists, athletes, and reputable brands including Instagram, Netflix, Food Network, Uber, Nike, and Neiman Marcus. McBay is also the self-published author of You Have Food at Home, Peace, Love, and Good Food, and Table for One. Her love for good food in front of and behind the camera is enjoyed by thousands around the world.

For over twenty-nine years, Gladys has been committed to improving the lives of people of all ages through the game of golf. The Roaring Lambs International Junior Golf Academy, a nonprofit 501(c)3 charitable organization established in 1986; a community-based organization focused on meeting the needs of multi-cultural adolescents ages five to eighteen, whose backgrounds are economically and socially diverse. Her commitment is to teach and promote golf to encourage women and adolescents to strive to be the highest caliber golfers in their class, while providing constructive outlets for anyone, regardless of race, creed, color or religion. Lee founded the program in 1986 in the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area, and currently there are chapters based in Phoenix, Arizona; Detroit, Michigan; and Atlanta, Georgia. As a LPGA professional, her mission is to continue expanding the Roaring Lambs Junior Golf Academy nationally, and training students who desire to learn golf whether they aspire to be players, teachers, golf course managers or merchandisers.

Rules Without a Ruling: Part I

When you file for divorce in Dallas County Texas a set of orders come into effect. Neither you or your spouse need to file anything else or request that the orders, they simply exists because your divorce case exists. These orders are called Standing Orders, and they relate to children, pets, property, and the conduct of the parties to the suit.

The Dallas County Standing Orders are in effect automatically for every divorce suit and suit affecting the parent child relationship that is filed in Dallas County. Most of the orders are injunctions, meaning that they tell the parties to the suit what they are not allowed to do while the suit is in progress.

The first two sections deal with the children and pets related to the suit. As you could imagine, it orders that the parties refrain from fleeing with the kids to another state, talking negatively about the other party in front of the children, talking about the case in front of the kids, or harming or threatening to harm to family pet. These provisions are important as they help give the parties peace of mind during the stress of the suit.

Section three further concerns the conduct of the parties. It is more geared towards how the parties need to behave towards one another. For example, it prevents using vulgar or profane language with the other party. It also prohibits threatening or harassing the other party in any way, as well as prohibits parties from harming one another. The above injunctions are important and are usually obeyed without issue by anyone not wanting to tank their case. But there is another important and often overlooked provision, the

Family, we took a loss in that Eagles game but w so they’re basically out of it now. The Eagles are actually trending to be a lock for the division title which is an automatic ticket to the playoffs. Based on their remaining schedule and momentum they have, they could easily win our division; leaving us fighting for a wildcard spot to get into the playoffs.

Most of us didn’t expect to still be in the playoff hunt when Dak went down and y’all know I’m right lol. Like most of Cowboys Nation, I was on that train thinking “THE SEASON IS OVER”. We came into the season losing some big pieces to our success last year. I was NOT a fan of giving up Amari Cooper, was not a fan of letting Gregory go, and was not a fan of losing Collins. Thru it all though, we made it through the storm an d now we 4-2.

Cooper Rush helped keep us stay in the hunt but even he said it’s our defense that’s been winning games. We are ranked #3 defense in the league. Our pass rush is lethal allowing our DBs to cover better. Our defense against the rush needs some work but I know we can clean that up. Eagles gameplanned us great with the style of offense the ran. They found a way to neutralize our best player and we didn’t have a counter for it. It was a learning experience so we’ll be prepared the next time while getting better in the process. Up until now, we’ve held opponents under 20pts a game, so all that was needed from the offense was a couple TDs.

Love him or hate him, Dak coming back will be great for the team. He’s 25-6 Vs the NFC East which means we are either winning our division to go to the playoffs or we are in the mix. There will be games that we need our qb to make a play and not just run the offense and that’s ALWAYS been the difference, and that’s where Dak comes in. I do believe that Rush opened his eyes and helped him understand that he doesn’t always have to be the one that makes a play. Trust your offense and don’t force anything. That 2019 Dak is who we want lol. The key to our offense is ball control and keeping the chains moving. We don’t have the offense to go deep all the time so we have to make sure we stay balanced with the run. That has been the key going back to last year. At the end of the day, recognize the team you have and play to their strengths. With our physical defense, I’d go into every game with that mentality. To win in the NFC, you gotta be physical. We are not a finesse team by any means and to be honest, I think these boys see that we gotta be physical now. Defense already there, we just need the offense to follow suit.

BILL BLAIR DAY October 22, 2022 Elite News Information Foundation Bill Blair Legends Little League

Elite News Information Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, which sponsors the Bill Blair Legends Little League Baseball program for Inner-City youth. Please bring your youth out to Bill Blair Day that was established to pay it forward by giving back to the community, providing valuable information and educational resources to empower and encourage our community.

The vision and purpose of the Bill Blair Legends program is to shape a new generation of leaders and scholars that will appreciate the value and heritage of the game of baseball. Bill Blair Legends will host a community wide little league T-ball, baseball and softball clinic for all youth 4 years to 14 years of age. This community event will take place at William “Bill” Blair Jr. Park, named in honor of the late Bill Blair Jr., former Negro League Hall of Fame pitcher. Mr. Blair was also inducted, as a member of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City Mo, and the African American museum Dallas, and Texas Sports Hall of Fame.

Bill Blair Legends understands the importance of organized sports. Youth participating in the Bill Blair Legends program will learn the importance of character, leadership, social skills, discipline, dedication of teamwork, building relations with teammates, but most important learn lifelong skills on and off the field.

Soon we plan to enhance William “Bill” Blair Jr. Park to better serve even more youth and families in the community. Our plans are to add batting and pitching areas, improved baseball diamonds, parking, restrooms and an area for vendors for future events at Bill Blair Park. By enhancing the park’s amenities, we would potentially help to fund events and bring needed revenue to the community.

He proudly served his country and came out honorably discharged.

James was the president to the family business, Harrison Asphalt & Paving Co. He was a devoted husband ,loving father and caring enough to open his home to many loved ones and friends.

BORN: James was born on February 6,1933 in Marlan Chilton, Texas, the son of J.D and Arlilia Harrison .

EARLY YEARS : James grew up being the oldest of four siblings, one brother and two sisters. He took an early liking to fishing, bowling, hunting, horse back riding, barbecuing, spending time with love ones, and working outside. At a early age, James accepted or Lord and Savior under the pasturage of Rev. Hegman and later became a devoted member of St. Paul AME church. James also had a entrepreneurial spirit, at the age of 7 he would sale various fruits, vegetables, and nuts to aid his grandmother (Mama B. Harrison). Later on he became a crop puller (cotton). He enjoyed spending his free time on his fishing boat.

EDUCATION: James graduated from Booker T. Washington High School as a AP student

He later met and married Alice Rae Cargill in Satin, Texas. After marriage, he moved her to Dallas, TX. To this union four children were born: Terry Wayne (his daughters, Kennedy Tea', Jay'ne LaShon, Phyllis LaRue)

Michelle Yvette (her sons, James Isaiah, Tarrnce Michael), Nicole Shenette: her husband Fredrick Johnson (daughter Nadia Alise), in addition to the four Linda Childress (is a daughter of James) James and Alice were a
