ELENA UHLIG, AS OF NOW THERE IS THE SUSTAINABLE "FRA)UU(HLIG" COLLECTION FROM YOU. HOW HAPPY ARE YOU ABOUT IT?

I'm really happy about it because fashion plays a very big part in my life. Of course also because my figure has changed again and again over the years.

As an actress, I know how you change with and through fashion. Depending on what you wear, you are a different type of person. It's always been important to me to have beautiful fashion. Especially since I have a larger clothing size, stay with it and consequently don't diet anymore, because I have found myself in my body. Sustainability is also a big issue. That what you buy lasts longer and is produced well and fairly. I'd rather buy one item less. But one that is produced in a 'healthy' way.

HOW DOES IT FEEL THAT YOU CAN NOW CO-CREATE YOUR OWN CLOTHES?

I have always dreamed of making my own collection. But you just need someone who not only has a creative idea of how it should look in the end, like I do. But also someone who can implement and produce it accordingly. Clemens Dörr from ELE-

MENTE CLEMENTE has this whole, big machinery and is still so concerned about good production.

That moves me a lot.

HOW SATISFIED ARE YOU WITH THE RESULT?

The "fra)uu(hlig" parts are "fully me." I produced what I like and not what is generally worn at the moment. For me, it doesn't have to be mainstream for many to buy it. I don't want to produce fashion with which I can make as much money as possible.

Rather, I asked myself the question of what suits us women. I want to wear fashion in which I feel free and can simply move without restriction. Just clothes that I like and find great on me. The "fra) uu(hlig" t-shirt we created, for example, always falls well. No matter what kind of belly you have. And if it's broken, I just buy it again because the piece still exists.

HOW IMPORTANT IS SUSTAINABILITY TO YOU WHEN IT COMES TO FASHION?

ELEMENTE CLEMENTE and Clemens are the epitome of sustainability. The topic is a big concern for him and me. I don't want fashion pieces from Bangladesh. I'd rather have ONE beautiful, high-quality garment than many cheaply produced ones. It makes me feel good to know that my clothes are produced fairly and sustainably.

ELENA UHLIG, AB SOFORT GIBT ES DIE NACHHALTIGE „FRA)UU(HLIG“-KOLLEKTION VON IHNEN. WIE SEHR FREUEN SIE SICH DARÜBER?

Ich freue mich riesig darüber, weil Mode ein ganz großes Thema in meinem Leben spielt. Natürlich auch, weil meine Figur sich in den Jahren immer wieder gewandelt hat. Als Schauspielerin weiß ich, wie man sich mit und durch Mode verändert. Je nachdem, was Du anhast, bist Du ein anderer Typ Mensch. Mir ist es seit jeher wichtig, schöne Mode zu haben. Gerade, seit ich eine größere Konfektionsgröße habe, dabei auch bleibe und folglich auch keine Diäten mehr mache, weil ich endlich meinen Körper so liebe wie er ist.

Außerdem ist Nachhaltigkeit ein großes Thema. Dass das, was man sich kauft, länger hält sowie gut und fair produziert ist. Lieber kaufe ich mir mal ein Teil weniger. Dafür aber eines, das ‚gesund‘ hergestellt wird. elemente-clemente.de

WIE FÜHLT ES SICH AN, DASS SIE NUN IHRE KLEIDUNG SELBST MITKREIEREN KÖNNEN?

Ich habe immer wieder davon geträumt, meine eigene Kollektion zu machen. Aber du brauchst eben jemanden, der nicht nur eine kreative Vorstellung davon hat wie ich, wie es am Ende aussehen soll.

Sondern es auch entsprechend umsetzen und produzieren kann. Clemens Dörr von ELEMENTE CLE-

MENTE hat diese ganze, große Maschinerie und ist trotzdem so bedacht auf gute Produktion. Das rührt mich sehr.

WIE ZUFRIEDEN SIND SIE MIT DEM ERGEBNIS?

Die „fra)uu(hlig“-Teile sind „voll ich“. Ich habe produziert, was mir gefällt und nicht, was gerade generell getragen wird. Für mich muss es kein

Mainstream sein, damit es viele kaufen. Ich möchte keine Mode produzieren, mit der ich möglichst viel

Geld mache. Ich habe mir vielmehr die Frage gestellt, was uns Frauen steht. Ich möchte Mode tragen, in der ich mich frei fühle und einfach ohne Einschränkung bewegen kann. Eben Kleidung, die ich mag und toll an mir finde. Das „fra)uu(hlig“T-Shirt, das wir zum Beispiel kreiert haben, fällt immer gut. Egal, welchen Bauch Du hast. Und wenn es kaputt gegangen ist, kaufe ich es einfach wieder, weil es das Teil noch gibt.

WIE WICHTIG IST IHNEN NACHHALTIGKEIT BEI MODE?

ELEMENTE CLEMENTE und Clemens sind der

Inbegriff von Nachhaltigkeit. Ihm und mir ist das

Thema ein großes Anliegen. Ich möchte keine Mode-Teile aus Bangladesch. Lieber EIN schönes, hochwertiges Kleidungsstück, als viele billig produzierte. Es gibt mir ein gutes Gefühl, wenn ich weiß, dass meine Kleidung fair und nachhaltig produziert wird.
