A rugged new magnetic encoder

Having trouble getting encoders? Avtron Encoders has developed a new HS35X magnetic encoder, which the company will be featuring at Booth 1229. “The same rugged features as our renowned heavy-duty encoders are now available in a 3.5O model,” the company says. “Our encapsulated electronics and self-diagnostic LEDs provide you with the durability and reliability your application needs.” Avtron Encoders says that the new HS35X “will meet your target price and it will be available.”

Tools and equipment for motor repair

Martindale Electric will have its representatives from sales, manufacturing, and management in its booth this year. They will be on hand to speak with visitors about the company’s line of abrasives, tools, machinery, and equipment for the repair and maintenance of electric motors. “Many of our products have been around for generations,” Martindale says. “We look forward to speaking with all of our customers who may be new to us, as well as those who have been with us for some time!”

Motor control manufacturer is expanding

Benshaw, Inc., the Pittsburgh-based manufacturer of motor controls for mission-critical industrial applications, plans to highlight recently announced plans to further expand operations as well as the appointment of Fran Livingston as executive director. The expansion comes as a result of “substantial, ongoing investments in both production capacity and inventory,” making Benshaw “the fastest growing company in the electrical controls industry based on year-over-year sales.” Since joining the company, Livingston has supported Benshaw’s president, Pete Morgan, in the implementation of several initiatives: adding two new product lines to the company’s web store, doubling manufacturing capacity, and adding two dedicated manufacturing lines to increase on-hand inventory and reduce replenishment times. “All of these initiatives,” the company says, “are intended to support Benshaw’s overarching goals for best-inclass product quality, lead times and service across the company’s entire product range.”

Resins and potting compounds featured

Von Roll, the Swiss manufacturer of insulation systems and resins with U.S. operations based in Schenectady, N.Y., plans to share its “exciting solutions and developments” with its many existing customers while “reaching out to new prospects.” Among featured products will be the company’s XL Series of green resins and potting compounds.

A recently launched voltage-detection app

Helwig Carbon Products of Milwaukee will be demonstrating its newly launched DataLink mobile app for the BPK-Probe, a shaft voltage detection device. The DataLink mobile app will allow a user to pair their phone or tablet to the BPK-Probe so the user can easily view and organize shaft voltage test data and export it to an easy-to-read report to share with customers, according to the company. Helwig will also be showcasing Tefloncoated brush holders for acid fume environments, which have gained in popularity with steel mill pickling lines. A full suite of bearing protection products and popular innovations for brush and brush holder technology will also be on display.

Product demonstrations and giveaways

Advanced Rotors of Hanceville, Ala., the provider of rotor and stator repairs and made-to-order laminations, will be displaying its rotor, stator, armature, and pole piece manufacturing information along with a video of its shop. There will also be various giveaways. At the lamination booth, the company will be displaying its laser shop work, information, and lamination samples.

New application connects users to testers

At this year’s EASA Convention, Hipotronics of Brewster, N.Y., will be showing visitors the new HIPODirect Mobile App. Hipotronics tells us that the company’s engineers have been “working tirelessly to bring their industry-proven high-voltage test sets to the forefront of technology and embrace the growth of IoT.” The HIPODirect mobile app connects users safely and securely to such Hipotronics devices as d-c hipots and a-c- dielectric test sets using WiFi-Direct. “The App enables users to download reports from their devices wirelessly and without using insecure USB thumb drives as well as keep equipment updated by running the latest firmware,” says Matt Weintraub, a regional sales manager at Hipotronics. The HIPODirect mobile app is compatible with “a multitude of different Hipotronics devices” and is available at no charge on the Apple App and Google Play stores, according to the company.

Bearing isolators and shaft grounding

Inpro/Seal, the inventor of the bearing isolator, says it has been “the global leader in the design and manufacture of proven permanent bearing protection for over 45 years.” For EASA 2022, the company will be showcasing its line of bearing isolators and shaft grounding solutions and will have experienced representatives on-site to answer bearing protection questions. The company will also be highlighting Inpro/Seal Marketplace, a new online platform to place and manage orders. Live demos will be available, and visitors can register for an account at the booth. “Come see us at Booth 203,” the company says, “to learn how Inpro/Seal Bearing Isolators can increase motor and system reliability and significantly reduce downtime and high maintenance costs.”
