Transformando as narrativas habituais em torno do turismo acessível: da sensibilização à ação Abstract: No mundo empírico, a relação entre crenças e comportamentos vai frequentemente na direção oposta: as nossas ações mudam as nossas crenças e preocupações, por intermédio de um processo de autojustificação e de autopersuasão. Transforming the usual narratives around accessible tourism: from awareness to action Abstract In the empirical world, the relationship between beliefs and behavior often goes in the opposite direction: our actions change our beliefs and concerns through a process of self-justification and selfpersuasion. As one action triggers another, this process can go hand in hand with the development of human agency - knowing how to act, as an important source of agency results from assimilated learning by observing the actions performed by others. In this sense, we propose an approach to accessible communication and storytelling that builds people's agency,

Nuno Tomaz Auto-biografia (tentativa de...) Fazer um retrato autobiográfico é sempre uma tarefa difícil, pois é difícil alguém conhecer-se bem a si mesmo. Mas vamos lá: desde muito cedo na idade, foi-me plantado o gosto pela leitura e desde sempre me considerei uma pessoa muito curiosa. Acumular conhecimento, consolidar uma cultura geral através dessa leitura foi sempre um hobby muito caro para mim. Por inerência, esse gosto pela leitura desenvolveu em mim uma apetência natural e uma certa desenvoltura na escrita. Dizem que escrevo bem e que poderia investir numa carreira de escritor... Considero-me uma pessoa calma, todavia elétrica, desassossegada quando as coisas e/ou processos não seguem a sua ordem lógica e ficam pela metade. Sempre fui muito perfeccionista, meticuloso e, quando invisto numa tarefa, não me dou por contente até que ela fique completa e bem feita, leve ela o tempo que levar. Não sou um adepto fervoroso da humildade. Creio que essa característica humana deve apenas existir na justa medida. Sou muito vaidoso, porventura arrogante q.b. também e, nos meus defeitos pessoais, aquele que considero mais notório em mim é a teimosia. Não sou pessoa de lamentos ou de autocomiserações. Prefiro ir à procura de soluções quando a vida me obriga a fazer curvas apertadas. De resto, sou muito amigo do meu amigo, considero-me uma pessoa generosa e sempre disposta a ajudar quando sou solicitado e, algumas vezes, até quando não o sou.

Gosto muito de viajar e de provar os sabores gastronómicos que abundam por esse mundo fora. Sou portuense de gema, nascido e criado no centro histórico da cidade, oriundo de uma família que, até onde se conseguiu explorar, é originária da cidade desde há pelo menos 4 gerações. Tenho uma conduta muito tribal (bairrista) em relação à defesa da minha cidade de origem, mas não ao ponto de chegar a fundamentalismos desadequados. Para além disso, e apesar do tribalismo tripeiro, adoro Portugal no seu todo e, como português, não me canso de apregoar aos sete ventos a maravilha que é este pequeno pedaço de chão a que chamamos pátria.

Autobiography (an attempt… ) Writing one’s autobiography is always a hard task because it is difficult to have a good perception of who we are. But let us try! The pleasure of reading has always stimulated me from an early age, and I have always seen myself as a curious person. Increasing my general knowledge and consolidating it through reading has always been a very expensive hobby for me. The pleasure of reading also meant having a natural inclination to writing and the possibility of improving my writing skills. People say I have good writing skills and that I could even become a writer… I see myself as a calm person although very active and restless when things and/or procedures don’t follow their logical order and just go halfway. I have always been very perfectionist and thorough. When I have a task, no matter how long it takes, I am not happy until I finish it. I am not a fervent supporter of humility. I think that human quality should only exit in the exact amount. I am very conceited, possibly even arrogant and being stubborn is my most obvious personal flaw. I am not a person of regrets or self-pity. I prefer searching for solutions when life forces me to take sharp curves. Overall, I am a very friendly, generous person always willing to help when people ask me for help and sometimes even when they don’t. I enjoy travelling a lot and to taste the culinary flavours from all parts of the world. I was born and raised in the historic centre of Porto in a family whose traces in the city, as far as we know, go back to at least four generations. I have a very tribal behaviour when it comes to defending my city (I am very loyal to my neighbourhood) but not to the point of becoming fundamentalist in an improper way. Besides that, and despite the tribalism of someone who was born in Porto, I love Portugal and as a Portuguese person I don’t get tired of trumpeting the wonder of this small piece of land we call homeland.

The results also show that there are some empirical studies that ensure the positive intervention of social marketing in the tourism sector. Therefore, several articles analysed argue that social marketing can be a potential tool to make tourism more sustainable as it can contribute to change the undesirable stakeholder's behaviour. This study also offers several insights about possible future research, as this topic is still in an embryonic state, thus enabling a panoply of possibilities.

The USALI - Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry, Eleventh Revised Edition (2014) For all those who work in Hospitality, it is extremely important to consider the USALI - Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry, in a brief historical perspective and then in terms of its latest revised edition (11th, 2014). Effectively, the existence of a robust official chart of accounts – an analytical accounting system specifically aimed at the hospitality sector, globally accepted by all stakeholders, allows the use of a common language by all actors.

In fact, USALI is much more than a simple official chart of accounts applicable to hotels. Due to its simplicity, it can be adopted by any hotel establishment, regardless of its size or type and, at the same time, interpreted by any professional in the sector. On the other hand, as it is a single and homogeneous model, it allows easy comparison between different hotel operations, even with different management models and locations. Another clear advantage of the USALI is the flexibility in allowing the coexistence of different official charts of accounts (national and international) and tax systems.
