A TYPICAL DAY IN MY LIFE INCLUDES… I start most of my days with a run around the 32nd Street corridor. You may have seen me out and about if you are up early driving. I use my morning runs to meditate and reflect which helps set the tone for my day. I have two high school age boys, so I interact with them a bit in the morning, kiss my wife and my dogs and then head to work. My work takes me all over the valley. There are days that I travel upward of 100 miles around town to meet with people and see them in their element. Being in their space and meeting key players with whom they work better enables me to assist them. I am a people person and thoroughly enjoy connecting with others. Specifically, I am always eager to learn about who they are and what they value, so a lot of my job comes down to listening. Generally, I make it into the office at some point each day in order to meet with my staff, work on systems and assist clients. I end the day by spending time with my wife and the dogs, as well as the boys when they are not busy with school or activities. On evenings when I don’t have an event, I unwind by tending to my garden in the backyard, relaxing, setting an intention for the next day and heading to bed early. I love my life and am very grateful for it. MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT LIVING/ WORKING IN THE NORTH 32ND AREA IS… This area is majestic. It gives me a sense of peace and I feel that it has tremendous potential. I truly enjoy getting to know my neighbors, seeing them out and about and working to cultivate that small town feel within a big city. MY FAMILY… Is the best part of my life. My wife Kim is my best friend. My son Matthew is an avid runner (you might see him around too) and a senior in high school. Jack is a sophomore in high school and loves playing the trumpet in the marching band and playing tennis. THE BUSINESS LESSON I LEARNED THE HARD WAY IS… Pay careful attention with whom you enter business relationships. If you are forcing it, then most of the time it isn’t the right fit. Having patience can be challenging but making the wrong choice can be much harder to correct in the long run. WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, I WANTED TO BE… Han Solo. THE ONE PERSON WHO MOTIVATES ME IS… There isn’t really one person. I just try to always surround myself with amazing people. Each of them offers me something inspiring in their own way. THE LAST THING THAT MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD WAS… Joking with my wife. I love making her laugh. It makes me happy in return. MY FIRST JOB WAS… Burger King. I was the Best Whopper Maker in Atlanta. MY LIFE… Is a gift that gets better each day. I’M CURRENTLY WORKING ON… the systems at my office. I am also focused on creating the BEST team in the business for the insurance industry via developing relationships and added value for all that come to us for advice, help and protection. I am currently developing my podcast, Bar & Restaurant Insurance hosted by The Delo (available on iTunes) and hard at work on social media, connecting with people. In addition, I am furthering my knowledge on liquor liability and being becoming an expert in order to better serve my clients. MY DREAM VACATION WOULD BE TO… My backyard.
