Introduction Interactive public displays have become a more common digital interface in public locations in the last years, employed for different purposes. Either for shopping, orientation, information management or advertising, people interact with them while using their body and different gestures. That way, public displays offer a more dynamic and body-oriented user interaction, which differs from more common interfaces, such as mobile phones, laptops or computers, or controller-based video games.

Research on interactive public displays have already been undergone, asking how users act with them, how they employ their body and how their attention is aimed to the screens (Schmidt, 2013; MĂźller, 2014). While public locations, such as universities, train stations or cafeterias are a common place to test the displays, other places might prove more adaptable to certain purposes. If, for example, the display wants to incite players to play a game while moving their body, locations such as schools, universities or shopping alleys might be possible, since peasants there might be able to invest more time. These researches, all in all, offer insights to employ public displays with learning purposes due to the high body interaction, player attention and social acceptation of them.

Therefore, this document proposes an interactive public display for learning purposes through a body-controlled video game, for kids in German schools abroad. Based on HCI research in the field, along with project management and economic, social, geographical and ethical considerations, I design a Startup idea that can be implemented in a middle to long term. State of the question in public display research is presented in order to show the theoretical approach, while German schools in Lima (Peru) and BogotĂĄ (Colombia) are presented as example locations. I come at the end of this document to ethical considerations on the research and startup idea, as well as invite the reader to reflect on the topic, research and implementation.
