Acrophobia Treatment Through Virtual Reality Abstract Virtual Reality has been scientifically and empirically proved as an efficient method of treating different mental disorders and complications, such as PTSD, addictions, and phobias. Regarding the phobia treatment in VR, it has proved to allow more situations and parameters to be implemented and modified in comparison to in-situ treatment, allowing thus tailoring the treatment for a wide range of patients. This document focuses on the acrophobia treatment in Virtual Reality, not only in its scientific background, case examples, and variables, but also in its gamified dimension, presenting Virtual Reality games that play in skyscraper buildings, or games that push players to their fears.
