ANNUAL REPORT

2021/2022
223 N Palafox Street Pensacola, FL 32502

Dear EDS Family,

For nearly four years now, I have been continually encouraged by the generosity of our EDS family. Through normalcy, growth, pandemic, a hurricane, and routine, our school community has displayed uncommon financial support for our school. Teachers, staff, trustees, parents, grandparents, and friends have enabled us to provide exceptional educational opportunities for our students through giving to our Annual Fund.

Our school is experiencing extraordinary achievement in every arena of endeavor. Enrollment is at an all-time high and stable. The remarkable academic achievement of our students continues to rise. Our facilities are undergoing constant improvement and there is more to come. Our financial position is not only healthy but the envy of schools everywhere. The Board of Trustees governs effectively and fairly and demonstrates great stewardship of our resources. The addition of the property due south of our main South Campus building, the Henderson Building, has provided exciting possibilities for development. All of these are a reflection of the people in every area of our school community.

Few things measure the health of school culture more effectively than giving. Last year, under the direction of Lisee Sherrill, our Director of Advancement, not only were our giving goals met, but our PSO activities, also under her direction, provided the largest single PSO gift to our Annual Fund in our school’s history, $100,000.00. Our school community is truly all in when it comes to the support of all things EDS.

We are grateful beyond words, and we are outrageously excited about what is to come school wide, but especially as we develop our vast new space south of the Henderson Building!

a big eds way to go

The Merrill family, who has a long history of EDS involvement, generously enabled EDS to launch the William Merrill, Jr. Endowment Fund.

Long needed at EDS, this endeavor allowed EDS to combine past, dormant scholarship gifts into a purposeful and important part of our school's future

The Merrill family's generosity will benefit generations of EDS students
