Dear EDS Family, Dear EDS Family, To say that all of us connected by the beautiful fabric of EDS are overwhelmed by the generosity of our EDS family may well be the understatement of the last 71 years. When a single year in the life of an organization more than doubles the highest levels of giving ever recorded, something is happening. I have never witnessed a more exciting and vibrant time in the life of a school, so please allow me to say to all of you, from all of us, THANK YOU. Offering the very best of educational programs and opportunities, superior athletics (and yes, that includes championships), and jaw-dropping fine arts performances in a broad regional area is one thing. However, doing so consistently while managing student and facilities growth is uncommon indeed. The only way this has happened is because of those who have so unselfishly supported our church and school. The spirit of giving is alive and thriving at EDS.

Added to the gratitude we have for the gift of giving is the equal measure of thanks that we have for the gifts provided by our faculty and staff. These remarkably talented people give tirelessly of themselves as they create the best academic foundation available in Northwest Florida. They inspire and encourage students every day. It matters to them, and they matter to us.

They embrace purpose and calling, and we applaud their efforts.

Annual Fund gifts have an immediate impact in many areas of school life, and for EDS, for now, that has been headlined by the new playground, putting green, basketball court, sports field, running track, pavilion, and dining areas. The benefits have spilled into areas beyond the physical space.

The smiles are wider, the laughter louder, and the people are safer as they teach, eat, rest, run, and play. Though the project is not quite completed, and while we need to stack these years of record breaking philanthropy one on top of another, the results are already visible every day.
