SADGAL

Back on the decks and more focused than ever

We first met SADGAL at EDC México, and it was a huge milestone for her career. Today, she returns to EDMtree to reflect on that journey, her evolving sound, and what’s next for this rising selector in the Latin electronic scene.

You played at EDC México, which is a major milestone. How have you processed that achievement?

Hey EDMtree, thanks for having me again! After EDC, there’s really no other path than to keep working and manifesting what’s next. Right now, my focus is on music production and improving my mixing technique. Processing it has been a journey— especially because nightlife in Mexico City has become increasingly complicated. Going from playing a massive stage to navigating the local scene keeps me grounded and focused on the present.

You’ve also been part of Beatport Connect, a global platform for DJs. How was that experience?

It was really interesting to be part of the discussions at Beatport Connect. I got to share a bit about my experience doing B2B sets, and meet a lot of people who are involved in nightlife beyond just the parties. It felt refreshing to connect on a deeper level.

How did your love for electronic music begin, and what made you pursue a career as a DJ?

Music has always been part of my life. One thing led to another and brought me here. More than anything, it was the constant presence of music in my life that pushed me into this path—it wasn’t a coincidence. What truly led me to become a DJ was pure curiosity and the influence of other artists I admired.

How would you describe your musical style, and what key influences have shaped your sound?

My style is fast-paced and energetic. It’s constantly evolving—I always aim to break away from trends instead of following them.

The key factor in my growth has been my environment: staying mentally and physically healthy, and cultivating my relationship with music day by day, whether I’m producing or digging for new sounds.

Electronic music is always shifting. How do you see the scene today, and what trends do you think will define its future?

Right now, the scene is literally fighting to survive. At the same time, social media has completely changed the DJ set experience. I just hope that future trends focus more on offering high-quality experiences rather than fast content.

If you could collaborate with any artist— past or present—who would it be, and why?

I’ll stick to artists from the present: Vomfliegel, DJ Fucci, Irma Ruiseñor, Celice, Villaseñor, Lyo XS… the list goes on. Their styles have heavily influenced me and helped shape who I am as a selector.

Can you share any upcoming projects with us?

I’m working on several productions I hope to release this year. I’ve already finished a few mixtapes that will drop in the coming months on some top-tier labels. I just hope to take my project to the next level.

INNELLEA, BEYOND SOUND: A HOME FOR ART AND COMMUNITY

Innellea has never followed the expected path. His music, cinematic, emotionally charged, and ever-evolving transcends genres, touching listeners in a way that feels both deeply intimate and universally resonant. Now, he’s opening his most personal chapter yet: the launch of his own label, belonging

“This isn’t just a label. It’s a space dedicated to the feeling of finding home.” Innellea on launching his imprint and reimagining connection through music.

With belonging, Innellea is launching not only his own record label, but a communitydriven platform for art, music, and everything in between. A place where artists and listeners converge. Rooted in emotion and built on trust, belonging continues the story that began with Innellea’s debut album and live tour of the same name, a story that captured hearts around the world with its message of unity, introspection and shared experience.

In this exclusive, revealing conversation, Innellea takes us inside the vision behind belonging, the genre-defying sound he has always championed, and the community that’s rising with him.

belongingA LABEL BUILT ON CONNECTION

You’ve just launched your own label, belonging. What made now the right moment?

Good question. It actually took me quite a while to take this step. But my desire for a sense of community and belonging kept growing. I felt that something was missing in today’s music scene, and at some point I realized I had to create it myself if I wanted it to exist.

Many artists launch labels to release more freely. But belonging feels like something deeper. What’s the philosophy behind it and what do you hope it becomes for others?

Definitely. It makes so much sense to stay independent. For me, belonging is not just a label, it’s meant to become a real community. I started out DJing as part of a small collective in Munich, just a bunch of friends who shared a passion and wanted to spread that energy. That spirit is something I really want to bring back.

A community that supports each other and grows together. And I don’t just mean the artists. I’m talking about everyone who loves music, people who go to events, who feel that same need for connection. I want to dissolve the borders between artist and audience. Everyone matters equally.

You’ve always had a powerful connection with your audience, both onstage and online. With this label, you’re taking that even further. How will your community shape what comes next?

That’s exactly why I’ve involved the community directly in shaping belonging. It’s their label too in a way. I set up a Telegram channel where fans joined the process early on, they helped choose the artwork, voted on the first single, shared their thoughts on unreleased tracks, and brought in fresh ideas.

“As an independent label and a global dance platform, belonging is more than a label, it is a community for music, art, and the human experience that connects them.

This new project serves as a creative sanctuary where music, art, and community converge.”

They also get access to exclusive infos, secret events, like the label launch party in Munich this month. The feedback I’ve received there has already shaped how I think and create. It’s been genuinely inspiring. We’re building the future of belonging together.

The label’s first release is the longawaited Inside Your Mind, your collaboration with Th;en and Carlo Whale. It’s already become a staple across the scene, being played by the biggest names, from Tiesto to Anyma… Why was this the right way to open a new chapter?

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had this much anticipation around a song. It has something melancholic and emotional but also energetic. Genre-wise it’s somewhere between house and techno. It’s dry and raw, but still polished. These contrasts really reflect where I’m at musically right now. Everything has to be in balance. Yin and yang. I’m super happy that Th;en and Carlo Whale are on board and believe in belonging. Big thanks to both of them.

What can you tell us about the upcoming releases? Who are you collaborating with, and how did those collabs come to life?

The first chapter of belonging is a collaborative project with artists that inspire me, artists I deeply respect, and people I see great potential in. It includes my longtime friend Yubik, Sioma from Greece who has an incredible voice, Rafael Cerato who’s influenced my sound for as long as I can remember, and many more. I’ve got to keep a little suspense, of course.

SOUND WITHOUT BORDERS

Your music blends genres and textures. Many still associate with melodic techno, but your project goes far beyond that. would you describe your sound now and how does that freedom reflect in belonging’s identity?

I’ve always had one foot outside of the melodic techno world. sound has always leaned toward Indie Dance, and now I want open it up even more into what I call Global Dance. It’s a broad term and that’s exactly what I like about it. If a track touches emotionally, that’s what matters. It doesn’t have to fit into any genre box.

Trends in electronic music shift quickly. How do you stay true your core while continuing to evolve creatively?

The pace of things in this industry is wild, so I’ve learned to to my emotions. I don’t resist influences, I welcome them and

associate you that. How freedom world. My want to broad touches me any true to listen and take

them into the studio. Once I’m in that space, I just follow the creative flow and let the music happen. Later I decide whether it fits into my project or not. But I don’t want to limit myself. I just want to enjoy the process. That’s a big part of what makes my music what it is.

You’ve built a strong visual and conceptual world around your music. How did you translate that into the identity of belonging, from artwork to storytelling to experience?

Since the beginning of my career, I’ve used a specific type of art as a placeholder for my private SoundCloud uploads. I’m now carrying that visual identity forward publicly. The images are usually surreal but hyperrealistic at the same time. They focus on bodies, fabrics, textures. Strong contrasts, intense saturation, often with a sense of twisted or repurposed meaning. It’s a visual world that mirrors the music in its emotion and unpredictability.

A BRIDGE TO LATIN AMERICA

You’ve played major global stages, but you’ve also stayed grounded in the Latin scene. How do you manage to connect so deeply across such different audiences?

I see myself as one piece of a much bigger puzzle. And without the community, that picture will never be complete. If one piece is missing, none of it makes sense. No one stands above anyone else, and that’s something I always want to embody.

How do you view the evolution of the electronic music scene in Latin America and what role do you hope belonging can play in that story?

Funny you bring that up. Without even planning it, I’ve already confirmed releases with four artists from Argentina, and we’re actively working on those. I feel like Latin America plays a huge role in the music world. People there are so passionate and deeply connected to dance music. That’s probably why belonging resonates so strongly. It’s a passion project rooted in inclusion, and it’s something that will grow with the people around it.

CREATING SPACE, NOT JUST SOUND

You’ve said your music comes from a deeply personal place. How does that sense of vulnerability shape the DNA of belonging?

I’m a really emotional person. I cry easily, especially when something touches me in a beautiful way. I believe vulnerability is human and necessary. We should be able to show emotions without being judged for it. Life is way too short to pretend to be someone you’re not. That’s why I created belonging from a place of total honesty. And that’s exactly what I want the label to reflect.

Outside of electronic music, what creative disciplines have inspired the direction you’re taking now?

Skateboarding.

Beyond just a label, what do you hope belonging becomes for the scene? What’s the bigger message you want to share through this community?

belonging stands for unconditional acceptance. It’s a space where you are valued for who you truly are. It’s about family. It’s about finding home.

With a new label, new collaborations, and a growing global community, what excites you most about this next phase? And for someone discovering Innellea through Belonging, what’s the one thing you hope they feel?

What matters most to me is the idea of community. Being there for each other, no matter what stage of life you’re in. Spreading positive energy and leaving every place a little better than we found it. I want to create a feeling of belonging, of equality. I always want to meet people with open arms and show my gratitude.

Inside Your Mind - out now

Led by belonging community’s choice, the journey begins with the first single, “Inside Your Mind”, a dive into the inner world, exploring the fears, thoughts, and reflections that arise when we begin to question where we truly belong.

It builds into a wave of energy and hope, inviting a reconnection with yourself and the world through rhythm. Introspective and raw, it marks the essential first step toward finding something real.

As an indie and global dance platform, beloning is more than just a label, it’s a community for music, art, and the shared human experience that connects them.

Innellea’s new imprint serves as a creative sanctuary where music, art, and community converge.
