Every Student, Every School! Every Student, Every School! Every Student, Every School!
Connecting the community to advance excellence and enrich student opportunities through Edmond Public Schools.
The legacy of the Edmond Public Schools Foundation is like no other of its kind Created more than 40 years ago, it provides a platform of support for Edmond Public Schools
In the early 80’s, business owners and housing developers flocked to our growing community New neighborhoods were developed and more and more families began to move into the area. Edmond became a family community and our schools began to thrive – not only in numbers, but in the quality of leadership among teachers and administration. The results attracted teachers dedicated to the classroom and overall wellbeing of their students. New schools were built and graduating students were moving on to big things and bright futures.
Edmond Public Schools continues to grow and pave the way in education excellence, and none of this could have happened without the overall investment from leaders and families within the community. Now more than ever, our students, parents, teachers and administrators need our support. The climate has changed. Food insecurity has risen in our schools, and teachers are spending an average of $638 out of their own pockets annually to support their students. Underserved students also have the opportunity to enroll in an early college program. At the EPS Foundation, we support all these efforts and stand by our dedicated educators who invest their hearts, souls, and even their personal finances into their students' success.
RYAN SILER BOARD PRESIDENT
How are you willing to further the legacy? Perhaps it is as simple as helping a teacher with funds to supply their classroom through our DonorsChoose projects. Already $1,732,199 has been raised - 2,664 projects fully funded, and 34 schools served. Maybe it is through time spent volunteering, mentoring or contributing financially to our endowment.
Please consider making an investment in our district as we empower our students to succeed in a changing society. Our mission continues to be simple: develop lifelong learners and advance excellence in everything we do.
At the Edmond Public Schools Foundation, we are dedicated to enhancing excellence in learning through strategic initiatives that address both the immediate and future needs of Edmond Public Schools students. For 40 years, thousands of community members involved in the Foundation have built a legacy of supporting Edmond Public Schools.
Our current five key programs Classroom Support, Student Ambassadors, Awards/Scholarships, Community Mobilization, and the Early College Program are central to our mission. These programs not only provide immediate benefits for students and classrooms but also ensure a long-term impact for future generations.
We invite you to join us in supporting our efforts You can contribute by helping supply materials to classrooms, investing in the next generation of leaders, advocates, and philanthropists, expanding access to early college for underserved students, or leaving a legacy that is meaningful to you and your family Your support will make a lasting difference in public education in Edmond for years to come
We eagerly anticipate discussing how you can change the lives of students through our programs!
DEANNA BOSTON CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
This past year we were honored to commemorate 40 years of dedicated support for Edmond Public Schools, and in the next 40 years, we are excited to continue our dedicated support for students in the district! As we look to the future, we build on a legacy that started when our founding board members first recognized a critical need and gathered to devise a plan to assist the school district. We extend our deepest gratitude to the founding board members Ken Rees, Linda Elliott, Cindy Howard, Bill Grana, Mark Snyder, and Lyn Tatum and to all subsequent board members, donors, and volunteers who have tirelessly followed in their footsteps. Your enduring commitment has profoundly impacted our community and the education of countless students. Their vision has carried us through four decades of unwavering support, and we move forward with the same passion and purpose they instilled in our organization.
Our mission remains focused on providing immediate aid while establishing a foundation for long-term sustainability As we forge ahead, we are dedicated to leaving a lasting legacy by investing in long-term sustainability through endowed funds for educator awards, scholarships, and the future needs of the district. We will continue to engage EPS students as Student Ambassadors to cultivate future leaders and advocates for the district.
This year, we will also continue to meet the current needs of the Edmond Public Schools district by supporting classroom projects through DonorsChoose, providing underserved students the opportunity to earn credits towards an associates degree through the Edmond Early College Program, fostering the growth of Student Ambassadors, managing scholarships and awards that support students and educators in the district, and mobilizing community involvement and advocacy for public education in Edmond.

Student Ambassadors represent the EPS Foundation by increasing awareness of the Foundation in the community and their school. Students from EPS high schools are provided leadership, advocacy, and philanthropy opportunities, learning from leaders in the district and community how to give back by doing food drives, public speaking opportunities, and volunteering. This past year, the program was recognized by the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence as an Outstanding Education Foundation Program.
Classroom Support by utilizing DonorsChoose gets materials to classrooms, reducing the amount teachers spend out of pocket EPSF invests in Kickstart grants and works extensively to partner with other donors to bring classroom projects to life! In the school year 2023-2024 there were 132,378 student learning experiences with over 900 DonorsChoose projects funded for Edmond Public Schools classrooms. Resulting in a 4 to 1 return on investment for every dollar provided by your donations, and over $600,000 going back into EPS classrooms!
Edmond Public Schools Foundation supports innovative programing that supports students This coming year we will continue supporting innovative programs including working with the community to find support for Edmond Public Schools‘ new Edmond Early College Program in partnership with the University of Central Oklahoma. The Edmond Early College Program provides under-resourced students the opportunity to earn credits towards an associates degree upon graduation.
The EPS Foundation manages 4 Student Scholarships and 6 Educator Awards that are provided through endowments. Educator awards, including Teacher of the Year and Support Personnel of the Year, are recognized at our annual event, Meet the Stars!
