Chuck received BBA and MBA degrees from the University of Oklahoma Upon graduating he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army. A Distinguished Military Graduate, he was selected for the Army’s new Program for the Utilization of Advanced Degree Junior Officers. Here he held a Top Secret security clearance.
During his two years of service with the Army Material Command he designed and implemented logistic systems for managing war critical materials. At the time of his discharge he was awarded the Army Meritorious Service Medal, which signifies exceptional performance in a staff role. This award is rarely given to a junior officer.
Returning to Oklahoma, Chuck became a project manager for an OU/OSU owned foundation that provided consulting assistance to small businesses in rural Oklahoma. This experience led him to start his own consulting business, General Research Corporation Here he provided management consulting services, produced feasibility studies for firms seeking bank and SBA loans, designed work out plans for struggling businesses, and served as a US Bankruptcy Trustee
In 1978 he started Sunbelt Industries, Inc , a manufacturing company that recycled aluminum oxide abrasive grain Sunbelt eventually grew to have plants in Oklahoma, New York and California. The systems Sunbelt developed proved that the recycled product was the functional equal of the virgin product
After joining Rotary, Chuck quickly began to serve in leadership roles at the local and multistate level He is the recipient of The Rotary International Service Above Self Award and later the Rotary Foundation Distinguished Services Award, the Foundation’s highest service recognition
Chuck has been involved in local Community Service for a number of years both personally and financially He has been a Board member of EARC, Inc for over 20 years and is currently Board Treasurer. Chuck likes to work with service organizations to help jump start new programs, deal with unexpected needs and the design of future activities.
For the past two years he has worked in developing a partnership between the Edmond Rotary Club and the Edmond Public Schools Foundation to expand funding to complete DonorsChoose projects that are proposed by Edmond Teachers
Chuck and his wife Anita enjoy international travel and theater and are crazy about Monet and the other Impressionists. Together they have travelled to over 60 countries. They also enjoy cruising and have spent some 330 days at sea
Congratulations, and thank you for supporting students and teacher, Mr. Musgrave!

Retiring from Edmond Public Schools in 2022 opened the door to many new opportunities, but one of the most meaningful has been staying connected to EPS through the district’s Foundation. Volunteering with EPSF has enriched my life far beyond what I have given, providing lasting friendships, purposeful service, and a renewed sense of leadership. The experience has reinforced a lesson I first learned in my collegiate sorority to embrace service with joy and to recognize its power in strengthening both community and leadership
