La Copa del Rey MAPFRE celebra su 40 aniversario haciendo lo que mejor sabe: organizar una regata excepcional que combina un intenso programa deportivo con una atractiva agenda social en el Real Club Náutico de Palma. Más de cien barcos de una veintena de nacionalidades compiten por la gloria en la bahía de Palma entre el 30 de julio y el 6 de agosto.

The Copa del Rey MAPFRE celebrates its 40th anniversary doing what it does best: organizing an exceptional regatta that combines an intense sporting program with an attractive social agenda at the Real Club Náutico de Palma. More than one hundred boats of twenty nationalities compete for glory in the Bay of Palma between July 30 and August 6.

La Copa del Rey MAPFRE celebra su 40ª edición del 30 de julio y el 6 de agosto con una imponente flota internacional que vuelve a convertir a la bahía de Palma en escenario de la mejor vela de competición del Mediterráneo. Born in 1982 and reaching its fourth decade in top form, the Copa del Rey MAPFRE celebrates its 40th edition from July 30 and August 6 with an impressive international fleet that once again turns the Bay of Palma into a stage for the best competitive sailing in the Mediterranean.

La 40 Copa del Rey MAPFRE reúne a más de cien equipos de 20 nacionalidades. Los pantalanes del Real Club Náutico de Palma acogen embarcaciones de Alemania, Argentina, Austria, Bélgica, Brasil, Ecuador, España, Estonia, Finlandia, Francia, Gran Bretaña, Holanda, Hungría, Italia, Noruega, Polonia, Rumanía, Suecia, Suiza y Turquía.

The 40 Copa del Rey MAPFRE brings together more than one hundred teams of 20 nationalities. The pontoons of the Real Club Náutico de Palma welcome boats from Germany, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Ecuador, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Great Britain, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland, and Turkey.

En esta edición tan especial, la flota está dividida en nueve clases: Cuatro de ellas compiten en tiempo compensado (BMW ORC 1, BMW ORC 2, BMW ORC 3 y BMW ORC 4) y cinco en tiempo real (ClubSwan 50, Swan 45, ClubSwan 42, Herbalife J70 y Mallorca Sotheby’s Women’s Cup). El Comité de Regatas distribuye la competición en tres áreas de regatas para aprovechar al máximo las excelentes condiciones de la bahía de Palma.

In this very special edition, the fleet is divided into nine classes: four of them compete in corrected time (BMW ORC 1, BMW ORC 2, BMW ORC 3, and BMW ORC 4) and five in real-time (ClubSwan 50, Swan 45, ClubSwan 42, Herbalife J70 and Mallorca Sotheby’s Women’s Cup). The Race Committee distributes the competition in three race areas to make the most of the excellent conditions in the Bay of Palma.

PROGRAMA DE COMPETICIÓN

El programa de competición de la 40 Copa del Rey MAPFRE contempla un máximo de 14 pruebas para los J70 y Women’s Cup, y hasta 11 para el resto de clases. No se navegarán más de tres pruebas por día, y la regata será válida cuando se haya completado una prueba.

El lunes, 1 de agosto, se inicia el programa de competición de todos menos los J70 y Women’s Cup, que estrenan sus casilleros el martes, día 2. La primera señal

SAILING PROGRAM

The competition program of the 40 Copa del Rey MAPFRE includes a maximum of 14 races for the J70 and Women’s Cup and up to 11 for the rest of the classes. No more than three races will be sailed per day, and the regatta will be valid when one race has been completed.
